Don't count your chickens. Italy to beat New Zealand and the Boks to have a surprise trip to the finals as Scotland beat Ireland. Heard it here first

Boks were amazing...ly bad, Hackwa.

Seriously I don't know if you watched the same match or you are used to watching 7s rugby.  It was clearly the two best teams in the world going hammer and thong.   As expected, there was nothing between the two teams (I think the last 5-6 six times we played there has been less than 8 point wins).

I laughed when I read about the 11 points left on the pitch.  Two penalties were from inside your half and even the best kickers in the world mostly miss.  They were hail Marys.  Both teams had opportunities and made mistakes.  We should have taken the points in the first penalty and our line out was a disaster.  We score the majority of our tries off lineouts inside the 22.   We have Sheehan back now and normal service will resume.  We made a lot of mistakes in the first 20 minutes until we got settled in.  So Pollard will make a difference when he comes back but we will be better too.

Both teams have room to improvement.  I think there is a good chance we will meet in the finals now that Du pont is out for France.  He is a huge loss and is the best player in the world.  France were my favorites to win the world cup.

If we do both reach the finals I expect it will be similar to this one.  A brutal, physical close match with nothing between the two teams.   Thanks for a great match and best of luck in the rest of the competition.

The autopsy of film review will reveal something far worse. It was an ugly game. This was a matter of Ireland having to overcome the Bok's spoiling tactics, throwing them off rhythm. They succeeded. This was nothing close to the second best team in world rugby. The Boks looked clueless, dumb, lacking a hard edge, skills, and looked very poorly coached. All Ireland needed to be was average with accuracy at key moments. That's all that is needed to beat one of the worst Bok sides that has ever been.

That's all that is needed to beat one of the worst Bok sides that has ever been.

The three best teams in the world right now are Ireland, SA and France and not in that particular order.  There is nothing but a bounce of a ball between them.   Injuries and luck will decide who wins the World cup.  This is a better, more balanced SA team than 4 years ago and I don't like criticizing peoples views on these forums but if you think this is the worst Bok side that has ever been then you must have started watching rugby yesterday.    They deserve respect for the performance today.  Certainly Ireland deserve more respect that calling that performance average.  No other team in the world would have kept up with the pace and intensity with the exception of France.

Well done guys, thank you for my raised blood pressure.
