Jantjies over Catrakilis
Even though I missed the Stormers game Jantjies was on fire a part from goalkicking.

Jantjies was definitely better than Catrakillis this week.

Replace Sadie with Juan de Jong

I looked carefully at Juan de Jongh - he did one good thing - made the intercept which led to De Allende's second try.  However, I did not go for him since his defense was poor as is becoming more the rule than the exception.   He also lost ball possession twice as against once by Sadie.  Those are all factors I look at when deciding on a players.
For the record I include the stats of the two players:-
de Jongh0/101/3/62820127/20/010/0
Sadie0/001/4/647310115/20/020/0
Basically if you compare the above -
*   both carried the ball 6 times -  Sadie for a net gain in territory of 47 meters as against the 28 meters gained by De Jongh;
*   Sadie made 15 tackles missing 2 for a missed tackle ratio of  11,8 - De Jong made 7 tackles missing 2 for a missed tackle ratio of  22,2
Unfortunately one of De Jongh's misses d irectly let to a try by the Waratahs.

Jantjies's problem this week was his continuous  missing of goal kicks.   Catrakillis goalkicking was more accurate.   It was a difficult choice - but I think the better goal kicker should be given preference.
I also takes into account the quality of the opposition - the Waratahs is a much better/stronger team than the Sharks.

 Dave
With respect - you cannot move people around - you have to look at the positions they were selected for and in which they actually played.  Van Wyk was selected at 14 - so was Hougaard - and he definitely was the second best wing this weekend, but I could not select him at 11 - since he did not play in that position.
I had a careful look at Arno Botha as well.  His ball carries was not significant and his tackle stats were also good - but he did not play any role in ball protection and recovery in breakdown situations  and there was no evidence of any participation in attacking play.   In essence Arno is potentially a good player - but he needs to expand his play to really become an effective loosie.
Just have a look at the stats of Van Jaarsveld and Visagie this weekend and then make up your mind as to who was the most effective hooker on the day in question:-
van Jaarsveld0/000/1/31811119/10/000/0
C Visagie0/000/1/5500118/10/000/0
I personally think Van jaarsveld was the better of the two.

Mike don't bother, Dave is a law unto himself when it comes to team selections, it's best to let him get his opinion out and leave it at that.

For starters Jacques Du Plessis wasn't the second best SA lock of the round, Hattingh played far better than him, and either way that still doesn't explain the selections of Van Wyk at 11 and De Allende at 13 because they never played there.

No just a simple bit of evidence showing that teams of the week have had players picked out of position with an explanation to that very fact......something that is beyond you Vlagshit.......you would not know what evidence was if it slapped you in the chops.

Ah so now you are qualifying those changes....suddenly swapping and openside for a blindside does not count when in fact the roles are more pronounced than two wings or two locks.....Geez how thick are you.
So I can't swap wings or locks but it's ok to swap flankers.....oh my goodness....talk about putting your foot in it.
Good work!!!

No Dutchie I'm just pointing out that it's hardly a revelation that teams of the week have the odd selection of a player that did not play in a certain position in a game.

Dave you don't know a thing do you? TOTW are notorious for qualifying Aussie and Kiwi opensides in the same position as our blindsides, ditto for their blindsides and our opensides.
There you go dumbo, I've explained it to you. Now you can go on your merry way and prove your point...

Here we go you ignorant twat.....here's some advice moving forward.....just listen and learn from me instead of opening your ignorant gob.....Planet rugby TOW

13 Ryan Crotty (Crusaders)We've shifted Crotty out a spot after his great performance for the Crusaders in the Durban massacre. Crotty played his best game of the year, creating opportunities with his passing game while also crossing for one of the Crusaders' eight tries and beating three defenders with a couple of clean breaks. He beats the Stormers centre Huw Jones to this spot, despite the Edinburgh-born Englishman impressing after a late call-up to replace Juan de Jongh, while Henry Speight did well on a first start at 13.

Depend which of your numerous sides you are talking about, of course. If it one of your extended 150 man squads we can expect to find anybody in there.
