The man is a disgrace. If they don't sack him the twit should do the honourable and resign.
Today only Lood stood tall as did Marcel replacing Koch. So much for Marcel not being able scrum....splat goes that one.
Jean is as slow as a cart horse. .....bloody hell gets put into space by great Willie pass and looked like a prop ruining to the line dying with it.
Schalk was crap as was Beast and Bismark. Coetzee looks like he never should have started he was clearly not match ready.
Pienaar was his usual passive self. Pollard had a test to forget. There was no zip in the centres....de Allende was in his shell with Jean outside him. Kriel was wasted on the wing.
So that is the wooden spoon for the Boks and now Meyers record is a 33% win record against the major sides in the game in the last 18 months. We have won all of 4 in the last 12 tests.
Meyer fuck off you suck

Yes Sack Meyer now. Then what? Coetzee? Fleck? Be careful what you wish for. The greatest fun is yet to come, as your favourites fail the Boks again. Will you admit you were wrong when it happens, or attack Meyer again? It's patently obvious that you'll take the low road again.

This was a disgrace - bad news all round.  Lets look at the players and see who was the ones who really were the worst players for the Springboks:-
*   Vincent Koch is not a prop to be used on international level.*   Pienaar was a disgrace today and that is a fact as well*   Burger was in the backline upsetting the flow of the game far too often and his passing was atrocious.*   Pollard and De Villiers made too many errors
There are too many passengers in the team - time to clear up the mess.

Nonsensse ... Lood was useless ... as he usually is.

He struggles to get any go forward ... can't tackle anyone backward ... doesn't contribute in the tight loose ... poor defensively ...

I always thought he had a bit of an issue thinking ... seems he's just naturally mentally slow.

A re-tard.

Maybe Meyer decided to select him because he thought it a charitable thing to do ... give the ret- ard a shot at playing for the country ...

What other explanation could there possibly be ... ???

I beg to differ from you on De Jager - he was by some distance the best forward today. What Bismarck was doing today was a joke - a bad one at that.  Koch was poor in scrumming - he definitely is not our answer at Tight head.  Beast was innoxious and of no real value at all.  Etzebeth was quiet - Brussow and Coetzee not really noticeable and Burger was poor.
The whole team was disorganized and our loosies looked like they were not all there.  Pienaar was a disgrace and poor as hell.  Pollard made too many mistakes and De Allende got minimal chances and made no impact. De Villiers was not really up to standard yet - he lost a lot of pace.  Kriel himself made a couple of mistakes and looked unsure of himself.  Willie tried his best - but he also made too many mistakes.
The whole backline was in fact disrupted by Burger's constant standing around amongst the backline players and then buggering up ball handling constantly.   On the day it was a disgraceful performance by the team as a whole.
I think that Meyer has a problem.  I think that there are some changes necessary - very much so.   We have a problem at scrumming and the answer is probably that Meyer must really think of bringing in Malherbe and Kitshoff in next week.  The loosies are poor.  Coetzee was obviously still struggling from his injury.   I cannot see that Alberts is the answer = he is utterly useless and has been for a while now.  I think that Meyer must admit defeat and call up Kriel and Labuschagne - the rest are just not good enough anymore.  No 8 is a serious problem and Burger is not a no 8.  After today's performance one has to wonder whether he is anything better than an impact player.
Pienaar is a no-no and he cannot play Du Preez - who is still injured and has had no matches for five months.   I think the time has come for calling back Faf de Klerk.   The rubbish balls the backline got was largely to blame for their failure - even though I would put De Villiers on the wing - because there obviously no functioning in the backline at all.

Lood was poor ... like he was last week.

Burger is waaaaay past his best ... he shouldn't be in the mix to begin with.

Neither should Pienaar, Kolisi, Beast, Lood, Mvovo, Jean, Victor, Morne and Jannie ... not to mention Oupa, HouGat, Kirschner and Hendricks.

Meyer still hasn't settled on his side ... 4 years down the line and he still has his head up his backside ..

How much longer does he want to keep it there?

Pathetic excuse of a coach ...

This is pay back for the conspiracy against White ...

Some kinda Christian, huh?

I love it.

The game was lost in the forwards not the backs. There is not one single forward who deserves a cap for their performance today. For too long Meyer has flirted with public opinion. Time to man up and suck up the criticism of selecting a strong conservative test winning forward pack. End of.

All that happened here is we lost two close games against the teams we really wanted to beat Oz and NZ. The team lost focus, brought in some new players and subs, and were uncertain about Pollard. I regard this much the same as the 49 to 0 loss to Oz in 2006, with 9 players who were on the park in our WC win a year later.

The question is can HM stick to his guns like Jake did, or will he cave to all the stupidity like most of the posts in this string.

Exactly so the true measure was what a depleted Bok side did to Oz and nz. It us abundantly clear nobody was really into this game. It was just a nuisance. Having been jippoed out if two tests who cares really about this last test when the focus is on the RWC. I hope the injury to Coetzee is nothing serious.

The problem is who to call up to enhance the forwards?  The real problem was with the
selection policy of Meyer - he called up the past heroes and they failed one after another.   Do you think  Matfield would have contributed anything to the Tight 5 today - the problem really was with our props and Hooker.
Our loosies were crap and that would not be helped along with a loafer like Alberts - who do not contribute anything to ball protection and recovery.  Jannie last year against Argentina was as bad as Koch was today.
I am afraid ultimately the problem is entirely Meyer's.  He should have called up performers - not his old favourites.   That has destroyed our loose forward combination and the scrummie situation is hopeless as well.
I am not happy with the fact that we have now for two months a non-playing  and obviously unfit scrummie sitting around in the squad.   We do not have the best loosies in the squad either, so where are we now?  Going nowhere fast I am afraid
Problem is our older players all look their age and our younger players are inexperienced because of poor team selection over the past two years.  Instead - despite pleas to ensure building up of a WC squad - Meyer was fiddling around with   has-beens and we are being bitten badly by that.

Props are an issue esp tight head but Jannie put his hand up in the previous two games. Victors would not have changed the result but he would have at least doubled Ebens rating of 2. Giving him a 2 is quite generous. I would however still take him together with Lood and Matfield to the RWC.

I see Mark Keohane has tweeted the following:

"My information is that Saru's executive have already confirmed Meyer's reappointment for a 2nd 4 year term"

Oh sh*t, this is bad news.

BBF....Eben has been totally marginalized in our last two games. He has won a total of five lineouts....one off opposition ball. Lomp is not calling his number. Nor is he the designated phase runner, even though he is much more powerful and quick than Lomp. He looked disgusted on the sidelines. Is this an attempt to keep Eben healthy because hopefully Victor will be back at the RWC. Who knows.

Firstly, well done the argies. i can't believe that the boks drop another team that never beaten them.
The argies came out today and played text book rugby, their kicking, set-pieces, defence and applying pressure.
The boks had so many chances and the never allowed thesmselves to get in. The problem is that we have absolutely no depth our experience players.
I've been saying this for some time and I will say it again. Our players are either to old or to young. I agree that we are going down the same path as destroyli. He capped so many players during his time, same as meyer.
His pre-meditated subs and trying to plan the game out in advance is so telegraphed that all the opposition knows which players will come on when.
If they youngster had another 2 years they would be unstoppable.
My point is that we have know seasoned players in the team that are playing at their peak. Jake white stated that the best average age for a team is 29. Take out the senior statesmen in our team and it would probably be 23. 6 years is a massive gap.
I also lay the problem at Saru's feet. What are they doing to manage our players and hold on to them. Instead of developing these players in the best league in the world they play rugby in mud with no skill development or getting familiar with type of players you will face.
You never player that poor in a bok jersey the whole management including the team should hang their head in shame.
Meyer has won nothing in the his 4 years. White won a tri-nations and world cupPieter de villiers won the lions, tri-nations and had a perfect year against the all blacks. Mallet won the tri-nations.
Time for meyer to pack it in

The old players are too old and the young players to young.
Instead of established combinations, we are taking together a rag tag team where their is still uncertainty in many positions and combinations . It is hard enough trying to select a starting team- let alone the match day squad

Instead of building up a squad over a three year period to develop into a functional and experienced WC squad for 2015, Meyer constantly fell back and begged retired players to return to the field of play.
Take for instance the performance record of Matfield over the past year in tests.  Played in 9 tests : lost 5 - won 4.   We won the English test, despite Matfield's yellow and the AB test last year despite a flop line-out by him - which let to an AB try.   Both could have been lost easily because of him.
Du Preez has been a real problem as well.  He never seems to be match-fit and is constantly injured.  Instead of looking to give our younger players a chance to develop - Meyer constantly ran back to him.
Then there was the retirees - Steenkamp, Juan Smith, Bakkies Botha, Jacque Fourie, Heinke van der Merwe, Schalk Britz,
The above let to the fact that we are stuck with too many player who are too old.  If they were effective it would have helped - but my impression is that they are tired and those like Bismarck and Burger cannot play three tests in a row without caving in.
The reason we have a ragtag team without established combinations can be laid at the door of Meyer - nobody else.

SARU needs to come up with a better contract system and fast. I would propose a five year contract for our top 45 under 20 players contracts with the option to play 4 months sabitical in europe, not Japan to help them develop to different conditions. If these players are managed well we should know by 23 whether they should go on to play for the boks and offer them a lucrative 3 year contract with one season abroad in the middle. That would push the player to 26 which should be a prime age for test rugby even if they have not played a single cap. It would mean that they have done the hard yards and all the graft managed to get some good financial incentives as well as still have 4 - 6 years to go abroad to complete their career if they wish too. If the player is extra special I would look at where he would fit in in a build up to a world cup. If he is 4 years out then he could get a four year contract with one half a season abroad and one full season. If its less than 3 then I would offer him one full season abroad with the rest in SA.
I think the goal would be to have at least 75 players on central contracts at any given time, all of whom that are good enough to play for the boks even if they may end up being 'journeymen' SARU should be able to dictate to their unions how they should be managed and used.

I don't buy the excuse that the Rand is week. Look at the quality of lifestyle these guys get.
I was watching a really good documentary on shane warne the other day and one of his comments was quite thought provoking.
He stated that teams that train together, play together and live together struggle to develop perspective. For it was an outside mentor that he could talk to that would listen to him or set him straight. I don't think our guys have got that. It is their stupid agents pushing them to earn more money.

The Australian dollar is also way off it's peak. So is the Euro, which has declined almost as much as the Rand against the US dollar. So France, for example, ought to be no better positioned to lure SA players than it was 4 years ago....and less well positioned vs a year ago.

CC you need to catch a bloody wake up when it comes to Lood, what rugby have you been watching in the last 3 tests he has played in.......not only does he gain metres on the charge, taking players with him, he smashes them back in the tackle and is bloody good in the line-outs.....scored a powerhouse try against the Argies and was millimetres short of doing the same against NZ.

You are speaking utter horse shit when it comes to Lood.....bloody hell reading your post I thought Moz or idiot Fox had compiled that pile of crap
