I see it's finally penetrated your thick skull that the Stormers have fallen behind some of the other local franchises with regard to attacking play. I tend to agree Beeno Boy but that said you are only stating the obvious. If you  wind the clock back to a post  where I stated after watching our beloved team playing the 'Tahs that all four of their tries were scored against the run of play and that in the early part of that game when they had ball in hand and tried to attack they looked like floundering Chooks flying into a gale force wind.

Oh by the way, lets make one thing clear, it's not that they're falling behind, they were never in front for starters, their attack has been non existent for yonks, while the other franchises have developed theirs.

Just wanted to clear that one up for you.

No hard feelings chump, it's taken awhile for it to register with you but no worries my man  I'm the forgiving sort.

Now that brings me to that little matter of you wanting to get rid of Alistair Coetzee. Robbie Fleck as we all know is the Stormer so-called backline coach, if anything you should be calling for him to be given the flick dontcha think Hhmmm?

It's a fair call seeing that Fleck has held the position for a number of years...yes?

Come now my man, whatcha say? and ummm puleeeze don't let colour get in the way of your call....ok?

And oh, with apologies, much as I'd like to see the Stormers win S15, here let me help you once again....don't get your hopes up.....just tell your friends and fellow Stormer fans  that if  any team wants to win S15 then they'd need to learn how to score tries.

Have a Happy Mother's day!

Deny, true, but we are still in a strong position to win the conference and 2nd on the log will be a strong possibility if we achieve that. The Lions is our main rival to achieve that goal. Early days still, but we are certainly doing better than last year. No doom and gloom, not that I'm saying that's your intent.  Agree with you about Fleck. He should have been booted long ago. WP had lots of poorer coaches than AC. He did not cover himself in glory, but must surely be our best coach in the last 20 odd years. I think he knows that it is time for change, hence his departure.  I'm sure he will coach the Boks after Meyer and I know he will be good for the Boks. It is also good that Meyer has the gig before him for obvious reasons.

PS, I believe Dobson is the right man to take WP and the Stormers into the future. He came through the structures and will inherit a solid platform to build from. A couple of players will be moving on, but nothing too serious.

...haha Happy mothers Day ..had no idea he was yr mum Denise...

...Bean Brain I see though the TAB wanna pay me NZ$3.40 to watch the Brumbies kick yr yarpy butt this weekend.. and even $7 if by 13 & over...so if I wasn't so religious, I would definitely take them up on that offer...

...Highlanders also paying $5.50 to kick yarpy butt by 13&over, avery good offer I must say...some easy  money to be made this weekend by the looks...

Brycy, old brakkie (mut), there seems to be good reason for the high payout. Yes, the Brumbies might get lucky or play brilliantly and the Highlanders can show us how good they really are. Must say I have a feeling the Landers can actually win the tournament this year. IMO they are better than both the Canes and the Chiefs. A win this weekend will seriously boost their chances. Good luck to them, but I suspect the Lions will be too good for them. Still, they will have the depleted Cheaters next week, so they might go home with more than a couple of points. Their remaining 4 are all but easy, but it will be crucial what happens against the Canes and the Chiefs. Interesting month ahead of us. Top 9 teams still have all to play for. When last did that happen?

Dense denise one can only wonder why you are striving like this to make a complete twit of yourself. If you knew anything about WP rugby you would know we have a very long tradition of creative running rugby!!!! Things went pear shaped and reached their lowest level under Alistair Coezee when he adopted his defence only policy.I have noted there has been some improvement recently in our attacking play but the dunce is now fielding too many microlights in the backline - he never seems able to get it right. I have been calling for a more balanced appraoch by SA teams for years. A fact that has escaped you. Bwahahahhahahahahaha
Meanwhile the Cheetahs have maintained their running rugby, The Lions have improved their running rugby markedly in recent yeras and the Bulle are very much better. We are certainly falling behind these three sides in terms of attacking play.
At the moment I would say the main problem is microlight backs who cant compete in the big league. The loss of Habana, Jaque Fourie, Sadie, JJ, Pollard, Van der Heever, Du plessis, Joe Pietersen, Whitehead, Duvenage etc etc hasnt helped of course. Dillon Leyds is a joke, De Jongh continues to flounder, Cheslin should be at scrummie. Small half backs. No sense of what is required. Rank stupidity if the aim is to win the Super 15
Coetzee was the Bok backline coach. A virtual unknown (somewhat like Loubcher) Jake appointed - and I can only surmise that, like Loubcher, it was one of those racist quota appointments foisted on him by the anc. Needless to say he flopped completely and Jake called in Eddie Jones who brought the Bok backline to life and helped win the RWC.As a reward for flopping as the Bok backline coach he took over WP. Backline play is supposedly his speciality yet the Stormers backline play became totally sterile. That was a tactical call to bank all on superb defence as orchistrated by Nieaber who Rassie had brought to WP. Further dense denise, if Fleckie is not up to it who appointed him and who has the power to remove him. Who as a backline coach himself should be able to set Fleckie right. Why amazingly its Alistair the head coach!! More egg lands on ou dense denise.
Learn something about the game before making silly comments very dense denise.
I only hope we get in a proper coach when Alistair departs. Why in the world Mallet, Venter, Jake and Rassie are not coaching shows how daft things are here.
Away with racist quotas let s select on merit and do better.

I thought the Stormers fell away in the early 2000s. Very, very old news. If you had to obtain an article from the days when they scored tries, the newspaper would look like those vintage 1800 archive copies. And the archive would be the trophy cabinet more specifically, just to pad out the space and remind that in times yonder things were better.

Exactly right Lestat, the Stormers attack fell away years ago, it's sad but true. Watching them these you wouldn't tell that they were notorious for throwing the ball around and playing attractive rugby. I think Fleck has had enough time to address their backline woes, there's no shape, direction or style and nothing to encourage any hope of improvement.

The funny thing is that it isn't hard to play more effectively on attack. They just have to give up on the failed fantasy rugby delusion and LEARN something new. Something they have been exposed to for nearly 16 years. I could imagine what the gameplan session must sound like. Imagine some NZ teams with mics snuck into their changing room, they think they have nailed those jarpies again. When time comes to play the tape, all they hear is what sounds like chickens in a coop squawking in bewilderment. May as well be the case.

Exactly dense denise. The Stormers fell away and under Coetzee a backline  specialsit coach apparently, they reached the bottom of the pit. Never ever have we seen a side with such a non existent attack. Other Sa sides like the Lions , Cheetahs and Bulle have moved ahead and we have fallen behind.Case close and ou dense denise has earned himself a shot as chump of the - can there be any other serious contenders. Bwhahahahahahahahaha
