in world rugby right now! Sublime performance from him today. He certainly comprehensively outplayed bent read.
This necessitaes Vermeulen moving to 7 where he is better suited. In fact Marcell Coetzee, Burger and vermulen will be withoiut doubt the best loose forward trio at the RWC.I cannot see any pack living with Beast, Bissie, Jannie, Etzebeth, Lood, Coetzee, Burger and Vermuelen.  England will come closest.
With the vast improvement in the backline things are looking at lot better. The nightmare though is the return of wee matfiled as this messes up so much.
Meyer still has to get more of is selections right.

...Bean Brain glad you've still got one loose forward left after injury to Vermeu len, injury to Coetzee, injury to Whitely , injury to Louw .... see yr running out of loose forwards very fast there buddy- must be very concerning...

maybe the Boks should just concede the next game and save yr injury prone players for the RWC... where the Mighty Manu Samoan team will be waiting to smash you into oblivion...

No one has commented on Meyer after this game. Is he still a dud?

burgers been sublime in 2015, if his form continues he will be the frontrunner to win the IRB player of the year award.

if vermeulen comes back though and more importantly gets clos to that form he had, the Boks looseforward trio should be,,,

6 m coetzee, 7 s burger, 8 d vermeulen, 20 n carr

Bwahahahahaha the fat Samoans! Brycy these hapless oaks, who eat too much oily fish have never in their history beaten the Boks. Come scrum time their main concern is how fast they can go backwards. Bwahahahahahahahaha
Lots of lard but little power Brycy.   Cheap, dirty play is their style. My least favourite side due to their shockingly bad dirty play. Yes they are worse than the abs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meyer plods on JW. But any coach keeping wee matfiled on has lost the plot. He has also made some errors. Not selecting Kriel and giving him a shot at 6. This guy is more dynamic than Hooper and faster. No Vorster or Combrinck. Selecting Kolisi and Carr but no Rhodes or Kriel.Where is Willemse and Jaque Du Plessis.
He has wasted so much time. Its now a arce against time.

..Bean Brain fish is actually a very healthy option compared to all the boerrewors yr probably use to...but it's that kind of dismissive arrogance that could see the Argentinians kick yr yarpy butts next week...Samoa can foot it with anyone now... so try not to get too cocky mate cos as we've seen today yr not as great as you think you might be..

SaSUE Burger is playing fantastic rugby as you say. He has the skills set we need at 8 . Vermuelen at 7 where he used to play would be perfect. Leave Carr out he cant compete at top level. Thanks for an objective comment re Schalk. Not like ou JW trying to talk wee matfiled into our team!  Brycy fish is fine but looking at the fat samoans one would think they eat a very oily type and too much of it? If Refs start pinging them for dirty play they wouldnt have a player left on the field. And it was you Brycy who got arrogant first - talk of knocking Boks into oblivion etc. If that matters. But lets give my good friend Brycy the credit he deserves!! Whahahahahahahahahaha!

Y Burger is best in the side of the scrum, boks forward play require a bigger player at 8 & wee Duane fits the bill. Can burger hold up between now & the RWC? He has evolved his game adding more skill & linking ability & he reads the game better so maybe.

Beeno: good diversionary tactics, ie don't mention the ABs thrashing the boks over the last 10 years
Burger must be managed well if he is to make it to the rwc so his future is in jeopardy as the boks don't do player management.
I wee matfield, I don't care either way but books did not do well in the line ours or rolling mauls so the have to fix this. Who else is available? The rest of your beefs boys are injured as usual. Only wee mayfield keeps keeping on.

JW give us bent the refs in our corner and would you guys have won even one test?
Our lineouts were fine with Lood and Eben on the field.  A 105 kg never has been fixes nothing and nothing much needs fixing in the pack except the return from injury of Vermuelen, Coetzee, Du Toit and Kitshoff. All should be back for RWC time.Meyer needs also to experiment with Kriel at 6. Kick out Kolisi and Carr and bring in guys like Du Plessis and Rhodes.
If we can get rid of quotas  and Meyer wises up a very very powerful RWC squad can be assembled. In brief the RWC is ours to lose. That was the message of Ellis Park.
Its looking very good for us but out with quotas, injured players back, right selections and retain the current balanced game plan.  The quotas maybe the hardest part. Puts Boks at serious disadvantage re player depth in the squad.

I've been saying for quite some time Burger is a better 8 than flank. Whether he is better than Duane is debatable, but he has done a very good job. He is strong, but has never had the kind of power Duane has. Different kinds of players though.

Card we have to have Burger at 8 as his linking/ passing game is actually superb. He is in my book the best number 8 in the game. His physicality and 80 minute effort also serve to put him in a league of his own. As SaSUE says if he carries on like thgis he will be the IRB player of the year. Look how he comprehensively outplayed bent read.I have to compliment saSUE for seeing this.
Vermuelen is a classic number 7 and will be perfect there.
Schalk 114kg and Vermuelen 116. Coetzee 114 kg.Add in Eben 123 kg and Lood 125 kg and a very good front row and you have a dominant pack that the abs cant hope to remotely match.
Given out backline improvements its difficult to see hoiw the abs can beat our A team.We can also pack the bench with class.I cant wait to see the impact the dynamic Faf has on our backline. Or what Kriel might bring as an impact palyer at 6. Meyer needs vision.

Meyer has vision. It's the fans who lack the vision, they perpetually contradict themselves. You are correct in that Schalk's distribution and link play are superb.
