Again the game was ours for the taking but was given away, part of the reason revolves around the scrum half play and other factors.
Don't get me wrong, Pienaar does have good moments though lets be honest he's not versatile enough and is too slow off the base of the ruck. Pienaar can't read the game properly.
In the recent match vs ABs the momentum loss started 67:10 when Pienaar made a poorly executed kick at the wrong timing. At that point we had enough confidence to run the ball through the backline but the decision to kick allows the opposing team back into the game.
Faf de Klerk needs a chance to prove his worth, he can solve the issue with his cleverness and wide range of abilities that is needed.
Overlooking Faf de Klerk is a real mistake, Meyer will have to face the consequences with more defeats to come. The recent last 2 losses shows a red flag for the world cup. Expect to see a worser starting XV selection during world cup time, with slow JDV and slow JP. Snails everywhere...
