Sharks Sign Banned Steroid Boy Ralapelle

Former South Africa hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle, who is serving a doping ban, has been signed by South African Super Rugby franchise the Sharks, the club announced on Friday.

The 29-year-old can resume playing in April after completing a two-year suspension for the use of anabolic steroids.

"I am pleased to have acquired the services of a hooker with the pedigree of Chiliboy Ralepelle," Sharks director of rugby, Gary Gold said on their website (www.sharksrugby.co.za).

"He is a brilliant player with a strong work ethic and will be an asset to our squad."

Ralepelle, who last played at Toulouse in France, won 22 caps for the Springboks, the last in 2013.

Ralepelle proved a useful good SuperXV player. 
He also had some decent appearances for the Boks. At 29 he could still be in the frame for the next world cup. (I doubt it but maybe).
Gary Gold needs to be the commercial manager.Or at least he must be anything but the coach. Waterboy or commercial manager- anything where he can do less damage
The Sharks are building a good squad, we just need to find a coach that has some understanding of backline play. 
John Mitchell is the best candidate. He would accept a long term contract only. 
Mitchell is a tyrant. However the coaching staff and players could tolerate it they were good enough. 
Most of his issues were with underperforming players in the media and issues with the union. 
He has never had a quality squad with depth to work with at the LIons and Western Force. He has got more out of his players than they are worth. 

 Both Gold and Smit should have nothing to do with running a rugby union.
They are out of their league.
Willie Le Roux and Coenie are also signed up to play for the Sharks next season.

Smit is a bloody fool as a rugby administration manager and Gold is not a coach's backside.  Rallepele is already a geriatric and he ruined his good name by using drugs.  Nobody would contract him - so he went off to the Sharks - what bloody fools they are.   I would say there rugby knowledge is comparable with the demented Mozart's view on things - and that can only mean team disaster in future.

Coneie. Well can he scrum? Since the kneck injury he as ben poor and battles to play tighthead.

Coenie needs to move back to Loosehead. He is not a tighthead prop because he cant scrum. Even if he does move back to loosehead, he is not the player he was. 
The Sharks has become a pension ground for older players. They have no plan A, and plan B is just to buy known over the hill players.Think no further than Fat Stevens or Mouritz Botha

I for one think that the right coach for the Sharks is:CARLOS SPENCER.

 well one can only look at the lions backline to see spencer's influence but smit is to narrowminded to see this.
smit ran a car business into the ground before he joined the sharks apparently so it seems he lacks the business acumen to take the union forward
you need business skills to run a union
