The Sharks is really strengthening their side considerably with the new signings and they can be formidable in future.


To date the new signings include the following:-


Backline :   


Le Roux, Pretorius, Mjekevu


Forwards :


Potgieter, Oosthuizen, Van Dyk


I think the Sharks has accepted that Marcel Coetzee and Pieter-Steph du Toit is leaving for the Stormers.   It is also known that Bismarck du Plessis, Jannie du Plessis and Willem Alberts is leaving and Ndungane retiring .   The other two passengers can be replaced with relative ease as well.  Bismarck is a huge loss to the Sharks - the other two definitely not so.  


With the younger players coming through and with present stock the Sharks should be able to field a very good team for the CC and should be moving to improve their Super Rugby performance next year.

Willie is an improvement in the backs, the pack is still considerably weaker. Coetzee is going to be very hard to overcome. So in all, they are losing their breakdown presence, their scrum power and some lineout prowess. But are gaining a ball carrier prop and playmaker. A playmaker in a team that is not being coached very well in the backs! I don't see much of an improvement. Oost will help off-set the loss of Alberts, but that's about it. They are losing the cornerstones of what made them competitive at Super level and haven't done very much to limit the damage. And it gets worse as I say when you consider the coaching team. Personnel is one thing, but having the brains to utilize them is another matter altogether. It's a sad state of affairs, but the Sharks could be in for a very rough 2016.

Desert Disaster
ALberts is no loss - one of the Du Preez twins would do 10 times better than Fatso.   Coetzee is a big loss.   The Sharks could benefit by ridding themselves of the two passengers - Fransie and JP.  
Depends on who they get as a coach - they could be better off than other teams likr the Bulls, with dunces as supporting coaches being retained.

It all depends on if the Sharks find a decent coach or stick with Fool's Gold. 
Although having Willie LeRoux helps when their is no game plan or strategy,

...do you mean this will take effect in the very near future,  ie in time for the Currie Cup starting in 44 days... and they'll be ready to take out the Lions and WP, OR are we talking the distant future like in five years time...??
