I want to make an enquiry about security of messages posted by members.  In a separate threat a message is quoted by me and consisted of suggestions for Springbok selections I never made.  Matter of fact what was quoted was contrary to whatever I constantly suggested in the past.


I am suspicious about the situation, because about a month ago I found a message under a thread where I wrote a sentence agreeing with somebody and found a fraudulent addition to what  I wrote.


I suspect either Ceradunce or Mozart has found a means of getting into messages of other members and then quote it in an effort to embarrass them on this site.


Can you please investigate further.  I think what perhaps happens in this case could relate to a person using another persons  user name and indicating that they have lost the password and requesting for a new password then type in their own e-mail address and the password is then sent to them and used.   The reason why I suspect that is that I have from time to time difficulties in entering the site and have to ask for a new password myself.   My suggestion is that the request for a password should be linked only to the e-mail address of the member concerned and not provided to any other e-mail address.

@Site Admin. I would like to fully support this investigation. I would go a step further, in order to speed it up by assisting you in finding the exact post that was supposed to have been tampered with. The thread ID of the post is 6004. The post in question is the second one on the thread, IIRC. 
@Mike. i trust that you would have the guts to offer an unconditional apology WHEN it is confirmed that I did not tamper with your post. Are you prepared to give such an undertaking? Even before it is confirmed? I think not.

 Sitw admin the first oak to investigare is undoubtedly cerudunce windpomp. On the old Kamp ss site I and others had their posts tampered with many a time.Cerudunce windpomp is very computer literate and I think quite possibly experienced in this area of stirring.My sympathies Mike its always unfortunate when oaks stoop to this level. hahahahahahhahahaha

I know Ceradyne didn't tamper with those posts, because I remember what Michael said. His memory may be fading, mine is not. Besides, he has done this kind of thing before; getting caught up in a contradiction and the denying he ever said anything.

Thank you for thinking that I am so "computer literate". Sadly, I am not. Unless of course, you know me better than myself. 
I truly hope that Admin do investigate this ASAP. I would love to see these two clowns eat humble pie.

 Well what is certain is that posts were changed on kamp SS where you were a moderator.
I am not ruling you out cerudunce windpomp. Lets hope the culprit is nailed and Mike vindicated. Changeing posts and deleting psosts (as happned to me on kamp ss) is a dastard ly deed. We dont want this happening here!!!

 Mike, just because you've made suggestions in the past that you may not agree with now, it doesn't mean someone is changing your posts.Heck, we all get things wrong boet. So no one cares what you said in the past, as long as you accept that you might have been wrong then who gives a sh*t.Plus, Ceradyne and Moz wouldn't do that, they're decent blokes.

 @Beeno. You are talking crap again. I have never deleted/edited a single post. The only posts that I have ever edited were upon request by the writer when he/she asked me to do so. In any case. I haven't been a moderator for almost four years. 
What is interesting is your reluctance to commit to apologising if I prove not to have been involved in tampering with posts.

I fully support any investigation into the security of ou Moronic's postings. Especia lly this one which has caused epic embarrassment.

 Mike, I will put my house on it that neither of your suspects changed this particular post. It was a long time ago and you either changed your mind or you made an error in expressing your views. It happens. Dis ou koeie, forget about it and move on. There was nothing too outlandish about the post in the first place. You had Thor on the bench, so I suspect he was coming back from injury. We all lost context, as it would be difficult to remember the proper context of the time. It is silly to drag something back from the past to compare with current issues. Relax and start planning your move to Riversdal. Stilbaai is just around the corner from there, so rather think about the sundowner we're gonna enjoy on Lappiesbaai in the near future!

When a password is reset- it is send to the email address of the account. So someone would have to access your email account to get the password.
Maybe someone also has access to your email. 
Remember what you said about Pollard- that he was another Morne Steyn. So it is more likely that you make comments and dont remember what you are saying.

Ou Maaik, you are mistaken. I know you think there was a post a few weeks ago in your name that wasn't written by you, but you didn't look at the dates on that post. 
I know exactly which post you're referring to and I didn't correct you at the time - which I probably should have - but the fact is that Sharkbok reproduced a post he made 2 years ago to prove that he was among the first to identify Damian De Allende as a talent and you saw a comment of yours (that you made 2 years ago) and assumed it was someone else . . . although if you'd taken the trouble to look at the date of the posting you would have realised that the reason you couldn't remember making that comment was because it was 2 years old.
There is no breach of security on this board and no-one has cracked your password. 
I can't find the exact post I'm referring to above but I'm sure Sharkbok can find it again (seeing as he found it once before) and he can bump it to the top again and you can see for yourself that the comment you're disputing was actually made by you . . . but it was 2 years old. That's what's got you all paranoid.
