Plum has it right. We lost becaue pap matfiled fouled up more than once.Lood did well to get close to making the necessary tackle. Lood had animmense 2015 but has been quiet this year.Meyer hampered by quotas and poor selections and an outdated game plan lost. He laos lost to JApan with eh most experienced side ever.I have said for years we needa balanced game plan - the Sharks exemplified this. The Boks didnt. Forward domination, great defence but also the an ability to attack. The idea our backs inherently cant attack is nonsense its all about skills and strategy. We have seen enough to know we can score tries.
The Ellis Park test showed how dangerous a Bok backline can be. FOR ONCE THE WERE UNSHACKED. We have to run the ball a bit and score tries. Playing a more attacking game is a must. The high upo and under and kicking away your ball aimlessly wont achieve anything. Its old fashined dumb bulle rugby. That said hats off to the new bulle. Lions are making progress. Sharks are defintely getting it right and the Stromers need to get in some backline personnel more than 95 kg.Also put Elstadt on flank and so have the best pack in the comp:Kebble, Bongi, Malherbe, Eben, Du Toit, Carr, Burger and Elstadt. That pack will take some stopping.
