Some thoughts after my second viewing of the Bok/All Blacks game

- I don't understand the problem some people have with De Allende's performance. On two occasions (38:42, 18:56) he beats multiple tackles. His distribution was excellent. Look at the catch and release pass he gets away to Kriel at minute 35:31. The perfectly timed pass after drawing his man to release Hendricks at 57:25. At 52:05 he picks up a poor rolling pass, rides out a tackle while making 5m forward at the same time and ends up winning a penalty for the Boks. I couldn't spot any critical missed tackles. I'm not a blind fanboy of the guy. I thought he was below average against Aus. Against NZ he was very, very good. I don't really know what more his detractors wanted of an inside center performance. Nonu hardly even featured in comparison.

- The Boks dominated the first 60 minutes of the game. Completely. In just 10 minutes between minutes 50 and 60 we created, but squandered, 4 clear scoring opportunities. Le Roux knocked a Burger pop pass on the tryline, Koch ignored an overlap outside him around the AB 22, Koch again dropped a possible try scoring pass on the line and Lood came up an inch short.

- Pollard had a fantastic game. Took on the line, made multiple breaks, put Kriel away, solid goal and touch kicking. Wonderful effort, although he fell off a few tackles.

- We allowed the ABs to run at us, especially in the last 20 minutes. We can't afford for our entire defensive line to hang back and wait for them to come at us.

- There's nothing wrong with this Bok team. Barring a few glaring errors and squandered opportunities this game was ours. It was a fine performance and we were winning well until the uncontested fiasco. And sadly it seems like Schalk's call because you can clearly hear him saying "loosehead, uncontested" just before minute 61:40 and just before the ref walks over to consult with another official.

- Our bench let us down, bigtime. Lambie ignoring a 3 on 2 overlap outside him to plunge headlong into 3 All Blacks and Reinach's silly forward pop summed it up. Guys like Strauss and Flip clearly lack gametime. It's a huge problem.

His tackling was weak, but his attack in space was okay. Particularly when the game got scrappy, he got the better of the All Blacks 1v1. Still doesn't look like a 12 for all the reasons I have already stated. Nothing's changed.

 Yep Pakie, Allende was great and fully deserved all the many accolades he got.  Right now he looks the best inside center in world rugby.However if Jean is fit and playing well a problem arises and may be resolved by moving Allende to the wing. However he and Kriel are our future at center.

Frankly there is no reason to think we cant win the RWC.

All the reasons you have already stated is proven BS and manufactured rubbish.   Pakie is right in this case - De Allende had an excellent game - very much like he had in all Super 15 games.  
The problem with you and Mozart is you tried desperately to discredit De Allende on this site so as to justify your silliness in supporting the big failure Fransie Steyn.
Nobody said that there was not a problem with De Allende's defence in the Aussie game - but that aspect improved in the AB game.   Yet you continue to make silly comments about weak tackles when he in fact is one of the strongest tacklers in backline play tackling back even forwards - so you are still peddling lies.               

The best centre pairing we have seen in yonks. If we can get back the Jean of 2013 and have all backline players kept fit and healthy we will be awesome at the RWC.Skinny Matfield can play the pool games but still allowing the real locks in the squad valuable games time in that period. Come knockout stages, Skinny Mat can gather the tracksuits.

 MonsterB please oak we dont want the show pony anywhere near the team. He will next be trying to be a first choice lock , the captain and master of strategy.
We have an abundant source of locks way way better than matfiled.
I think of course the RWC is ours to lose. Cant see nz being much of a threat to us.

 Reports suggest the Poms are really improving, as are the Ozzies, I hope this dosen't mean the Boks will lose their number 2 ranking.

 JW we will be losing our number two ranking for sure . But taking the number 1 ranking.Beeno clarifying matters for ou JW. Its what I do.

de allende was awsome, as was kreil, very good midfield pairing there, but still room for serfontein at 12 and deallende at 13 IMO. kreil can go to fullback where he can create as much as le roux, without the truck full of errors.

no one evere talks about it, but the All Blacks fitness is 2nd to none.
Boks did dominate the first 60 minutes, those who played the 80 minutes were are a non factor, but they ran out of gas as they have time and time and time again.

as the All Blacks have shown, the more mobile, quick and fit pack, will always beat the bigger more physical pack, maybe not in the first 40 minutes, but nearly always by the 80th minute.

theres also the ball skill factor to consider, saffa forwards don t have anywhere near the ball skills that the kiwis do.
this is an area the saffa rugby community as a whole need to improve on immediately.

 Case in point Naru was Woody scoring on the wing during poor wee Smits 100th !
