Sonny Bill Appreciation

Just tortured myself by watching the semi against the AB's again, and the act of sportsmanship by Sonny Bill at the end where instead of celebrating with his teammates, he goes and consoles Jesse Kriel is really top class of him. 

Top Rugby Union player, Top League player, Okay boxer (argubarly he lost to our boy Botha ) - all round great sportsman and seems a good guy too.

 APD, the small tokens of sportsmanship displayed  by the AB's under Hansen is adding up to a total of greatness.  They have been the best rugby team for the last 20 years, but Hansen made them a great team that will be remembered in years to come, accross all codes. Well done to him.

 We all talk about Jonah (rest his soul) but SBW is probably just as nice a guy.  People sometimes take self assured as arrogant or even obnoxious without finding out who is really behind the facade.  Two acts by SBW showed the person he really is.  The Jesse one and the medal.  Tough-guy with a small heart!

 Yes that act of kindness towards young Kriel shows the heart of the man doesnt it ?

 
I think he showed who he was by giving that kid his medal.
