South African Backline play at all time low

 The Cheetahs still scored more tries than any other SA Franchise - followed by the Lions.   The worst backline this year was the Stormers - with the only exception De Allende.   The Sharks backline was atrocious - but that was not different from last year.  The real problem last year was Francois Steyn, who seems to eb totally unabl to make line breaks and was brought down regularly by the first defender he runs into.   
The problem with the Bulls was atrocious backline coaching - but that was the result of the coaching of the Ludeke - Matfield set-up, with the latter being the attack coach.  Poor Slaptjips had no chance with those two dinosaurs in the set-up.
The Cheetahs had the worst forward pack in the competition and their backline players was put at a serious disadvantage as a result.   The Lions did not have the "star" players either - but they had players like Vorster, Whiteley, Kriel  and Combrinck who did massive work for them.   On the whole I rate the Lions backline the best in SA this year.
The whole issue stinks to high heaven and it is clear that something serious needs to be done with -
*   getting rid of midgets in the backline; *   proper backline coaching is necessary; and *   the idea to have forwards as attack coaches needs to be out as well.
