Moor's storm from more than 10m away to start a bargie after a penalty to the Stormers was way off and should have been carded. They were looking for trouble from the get go. Won't be surprised if there is some kind of trouble after their night on the town this evening. I hope Eben's cousins keep an eye on the sorry lot if they venture out of their hotel tonight.

It was a typical example of how other teams try to provoke SA players into fights by trying to get penalties. It worked many times in the past so of course they will continue to look for trouble.
Credit must go to the Stormers for handling the situation and keeping a cool head during all this, i know it isn't easy.

Stormers handled it well, but the ref was too lenient. It could have turned ugly.

Hats off though to the Lions win over the Highlanders. Well played and very well coached during the game.

Sorry Mozart, way past my bedtime. After the Highlanders loss to the Lions, sleep was the only solution to forget .
Concerning the Brumbies, it does not surprise me one bit to hear talk of dirty play by them. Plus they just came off another spiteful game against the Tahs last week.
The only issue I have Mozart was of JeromeV generalising "other teams" provoking SA players giving the impression that SA players are angels. Has he heard of the Du Plesis brothers?

Fair enough. I can only watch two of these games before I start going cross eyed.
The SA and NZ teams have some very physical games, but this game for me was different....petty. You couldn't imagine the guys having a beer together any time soon.

Fair enough Mozart. I guess the stakes are pretty high at present to worry about etiquette and being gentlemen of the game BUT it would be nice to play a full 80minutes brutal game against your opponent and then gloves off at the full time siren to give a bottle of wine to your respected opponent. I guess the Brumbies didnt particularly endear themselves well to the Stormers to deserve any wine .

Just to give context to my comments. Although I am not a Stormers supporter, but I wanted them to win, preferably with a bonus point... But during the match my mood and view changed so that I wasn't sure whether I wanted them to win anymore.
About these comments:

I see nothing wrong with those comments. They knew the Stormers were going to intimidate and did not stand back or roll over and play dead.
As for the shove after the hooter. It was a nothing shove. More about the fact that he was too late to make the tackle (a little bit of frustration), but that shove would not even be able to do damage to 6 year old. The reaction from the Stormers however showed what it was all about and who were the aggressors during most of the match...
Then you have the Schalk rolling over a ruck incident, where a person was yellow carded in a situation, where he never even lifted Schalk off the ground. That was a pathetic call to say the least.

What exactly did De Jong do to warrant Moore running from 10m away to confront him? De Jong of all players is not one to participate in hand bags and comes across as a pacifist on field.

Beeno: Kaplan said the rolling maul was legalized obstruction. He also explained that Pollack was penalizing the maul because of lane changes & handing the ball to a man when there was another one obstructing that was closer. He said some refs call it & some don't. This based on sound reasoning & observable behaviors.
