The worst job in South Africa is the one of the Springbok coach. This is a terrible statement to make, yet, unfortunately, it is also very true. Any person taking this job also takes on the following:1. If the Springboks win, you are the best but woe befalls you if you lose just one match. 2. When a team is picked, every Tom, Dick and Harry will tell you who to pick, even trade unionists who knows absolutely nothing about rugby, let alone coaching.3. You must be prepared to be stabbed in the back by ex-springbok players that is either too scared to coach, or want the job for themselves.4. All kinds of interference in team choices is of course mandatory; this may indeed prevent the best team from being selected.5. Should this second best team lose a vital match, your neck is on the chopping block .Dopes anybody want this job? I most certainly do not. Not for all the gold in the Reserve Bank
What an absolute load of BS. The issue is not even nearly the quota picks. Would absolutely love to clip writer around the ear.
My cynical side immediately questions why Sports 24 would put this up.
