Should be.. 6. Kolsi 7. Burger 8. Vermulen Arno Botha, Marcell Coetzee, Du Pleesi, Carr, whitely Problem not in tight you well compete nz their 1. Frans Malhebe 2. Adrian Strauss 3. Tendai 4. Du toit or Wee Maty :D 5. Estebeth Problem is in backs. Too small and lack depth but.. 15. Le Roux 14. Houggard 13. De Allende 12. Serfointain 11. Hendricks 10. Pollard 9. Cobus Reinach 16. J Du Pleesi 17. Bismark 18. Du Pleesi 19. Coetzee 20. Fafi de klerk 21. Lambie 22. Kolbe 23. JJ That team well beat us every now and then. But thankfully meyer is in charge :P.

 I disagree with you in many respects on the players to eb selected fror the Springbok team.

I would not have a second scrummie - would move Hougaard there should it be required.
As you said - New Zealand has a lot to be thankful for - one of those are Meyer as Springbok coach.

In 2012 and 2013 Bizzie's name would have been the first one I jotted down as a a player.   In 2014 Bizzie's performances went backwards by leaps and bounds and this year the trend was not reversed.
I never ever support selection of players based on reputation - unless the performances of the players are equal to or near enough to the player reputation.  There is a huge gap between what Bizzy can produce - in fact has p roduced in the past - and what he actually produces at present.
I think both Jannie and him are at the age where the downward trend in performances cannot be stopped and when change is necessary - sad to say.

Best Bok pack would be:

 

1. Coenie 2. Bismark 3. Marcel v/d Merwe 4. Willemse 5. Etzebeth 6. Coetzee 7. PSDT 8. Vermeulen

 

Bench of Strauss, Kitshoff, Nyakane, Arno Botha and Carr

 

I prefer Coenie at 3, but he and Marcel are our best props.....close call though with Beast, Kitshoff, Nyakane, Thomas du Toit, Koch and Malherbe just as good.

 

I also much prefer PSDT at lock but Willemse and Eben are a must as is PSDT in the starting pack, so he plays 7. My pack is monstrous.....with Coetzee at 112kg's the lightest forward.

 

I was torn between Jacques du Plessis and Arno Botha on the bench, but with PSDT covering lock I went with 2 loosies.

 

Lood, Jean Kleyn and Ruan Botha would all be pushing with du Plessis for lock spots.

 

We have loosies to burn in Kolisi, CJ Stander, Labs, Schalk, Liebenberg, Brussouw, Mtembu, Elstadt, v/d Walt and Kriel all test material

With respect - playing locks as loosies never the right thing to do.  There are too many gaps that a lock will not fill - like ball protection and recovery and turnover ball - and then their is the defense around the fringes that is often not up to standard - eg in the recent case of Alberts.
I prefer a lock to be a lock and a loosie to be a loosie - it is two different type of players required and I therefore have to say I differ from you about Du Toit.  For me he is the ideal no 5 lock and that is where he should play.
Of the loosies mentioned by you - I like Arno Botha - but for me he is a number 8 - not a 7 - as well as the youngster Liebenberg.  Botha has not been all that impressive since his return and I grant he had very little playing time - but from the bit I saw of him in the Forces game - he will have to get back to his best and start doing more in breakdown ball protection and recovery to really become a loosie contender.
However, it is early days and we will see how the season develop.

So far if from means anything Kitshoff and Kock are the two props.I would however start with Beast, Strauss and Kock. Marcell is looking too plump. Malherbe still to recover fitness.
Locks would be Eben and Willemmse if palying engkland and Eben and Du Toit against England.
Loosies Coetzee, Vermuelen and Burger,Please lest forget about Kolisi who shouldnt be playing Super Rugby on his current form.
There are some backs making waves and we shall have to see how it goes.

Oh what bullshit......PSDT has played plenty of rugby at flank and its not his job to effect turnovers......his primary role at 7 would be to play it physically much like a lock does.

 

I would prefer PSDT at lock but I would want Willemse, Etzebeth and PSDT is my starting pack......so PSDT would play 7 for me.

 

We need physicality at 7......Alberts is past his best. The other options are Elstadt, v/d Walt, Jacques du Plessis, Oupa, Etienne Oosthuizen, Rhodes and PSDT........PSDT is the best.
