37:36 - Stormers Scrum. DA first receiver. Crashes it up but has little power to dent the defense.

Second Half

40:15 - Stormers defensive line dog-legged , DA trailing behind inside defender and too close. Gets beaten on the outside missing tackle.

Well, there were problems Dave. Twice losing the ball as the Stormers had numbers out wide, continually exposed his channel. Weak defense for the most part. He was either in a ruck or looking for space out wide. He doesn't create space for his outside backs, he goes hunting for it himself. This is by instinct a wing, or a hybrid wing/13. He is a good runner out wide, if he could defend I would enthusiastically call for his inclusion as a Bok starter, but he is no 12.

Your take is absolute bullshit for if it was correct how on earth would he have been considered for TOW.......explain that?

Explain how the TOW comments are in conflict with game footage? Is it the video that is lying, or did Planet Rugby make a mistake by not watching the game properly? Please, I implore you, share thy wisdom oh mighty tome of wisdom.

Its simple your take is a load of crap.....like exposing his channel, being weak in defence, does not create for his outside backs......its all a load of crap.

Planet rugby saw what the majority of us saw......a TOW performance by a player that has beaten more defenders than any other player in the WHOLE of the S15 this year.

But your rugby ignorance and pathetic bias leaves you incapable of seeing the obvious.....the same obvious that has people selecting DA week after week.

You are a stupid lone wolf.......you crap would carry weight if you had the majority backing your ignorance - you don't......TOW week after week and more defenders beaten.......case close ignorant man

Explain please how four rugby data bases are wrong and you are correct.   It amuses me every time you write a summary in what happened on the field of play, because if you hate a player you twist positives into negatives in the most amazing way.  If you like a player the opposite is achieved - with a difference that if such a player does nothing but take up his position in the backline gets an accolade for that.
Really funny - but also tragic.  How ignorant on rugby matters can any person be and then shows that ignorance on a site like this one?

Its the same video we saw you idiot.....we stand by it as well. Difference is, your take on what actually happened is a load of rubbish.

de Allende is the best centre in the competition this year.......not only the best in SA, the best out of ALL the sides in the whole comp

You stand by your presupposition... not the video. That's why you cannot tackle the time stamps directly. Just like Michael, you use the personal attack (white flag) and referencing people who did not look closely at the video.

Wrong I saw the game and am at work right now so will not be going through any footage.

As for Matfield, if taking the odd line out ball and making some nice open field tackles does it for you then be mu guest and select old Vic at 5.

Who said they rated Vic highly, would that be because he made 1 TOW??

I know better

You are wrong here - you think you are right and everybody else is wrong.  You pick on of the worst centers in Super 15 as your center - and says the best center in Super 15 is rubbish.
The list of your favourites is short your list of other players you regard as poor contains unbelievable names like McCaw, Folau and an endless number of SA players - all of whom from a selection perspective poses a threat to your favourites.
And then we have Matfield and Alberts - the one a Tight 5 player that produces zero in Tight 5 play and moonlights in the backline in the hope that he would be able to make a tackle  and the other who cannot get to players to make tackles because he has no pace and when he get to them miss an unacceptable percentage of tackles he tries to make.

You yourself attacked McCaw! I said Folau is very good if played in the midfield, not the back three where he has been exposed for lack of pace and inability to relieve pressure with the boot. Now onto Damian, I said he has strengths, but it is well known that he has defensive issues. If you are so smart, you tell me where I am wrong in assessing last week's game. No point being a loud mouthed blaggard if you can't put your money where your mouth is. Why desist? If you know I am wrong, then you ought to know why, and then provide lots of references.

De Allende had less defensive issues than Frans Steyn - that has been proven over and over.
I'll just give you one example - you missed out/ignored the fact that Steyn attempted 8 tackles and missed 3 of those.   You write constant drivel about poor tackling by De Allende who attempted 15 tackles and missed 3.  Now   Steyn missed 37,5%  of attempted tackles and De Allende miss 20% of his tackles - so Steyn is a better tackler because you said so.
Your description of everything De Allende does is weird and coloured into making it look like he had a crap game.  When Steyn did nothing other than taking up his normal position as a center a praise song follows.
Look the moment you stop trying to decry one player and boosting another one and be objective on what happened on the field of play a debate is possible.  Up until then the garbage you write is not worth a response.

De Allende suffers from the same inadequacies as most SA midfielders; no distribution skills but not pacy enough to play on the wing. Think Serfontein and JJ as other examples.

Moola, if he could defend his channel he would be perfect at 13, he likes to run and has the confidence to take defenders on out wide, breaking through the initial tackles. If you watch the footage, he wanders out of position on defense with literally no thought to what he is doing. The Rebels missed an inside ball where they would have had acres of space to attack behind him. Furthermore, Kolbe is the one coming into the line and working with de Jongh to create space out wide where DA is usually lurking. That's not a 12. I saw nothing to suggest he is test material, and his tackles were mostly average.

Sorry to differ from you here.  De Allende played the fool with S-B Williams in the game b etween the Chiefs and the Stormers, so if he was so crap - why did it happen?

It is not worth responding to issues raised by Letsal - he talks crap all the time and repeats his misrepresentations time and time again.  Just one question you wrote about De Allende missing tackles - 3 out of 15 attempts - but never mentioned Steyn missing 3 out of 8 attempts - what a joke.
Secondly you compare what Nonu does in attacking play with what Fransie does.  Fransie is the worst attacking and defending center in Super 15 and you dare to compare him with Nonu - are you nuts or what?
Your fellow Village Idiot is equal in stupidity when he mentioned Fransie's so-called off-loading skills with that of S-B Williams in the same sentence.   There is no comparison between the two players in that respect.
The following crap is typical:-
"I'll try post a video of Frans, who dominates the inner channels and creates space as a decoy or by sucking in defenders, the best 10-12 axis is one where the 12 can act like a 10 anyway"
What you say above NEVER EVER HAPPENED since Steyn's return from France and is the most amazing baloney that was ever written on this site.  If it did he would not have the worst attacking record of any 12 in SA.

Never happened, hey Michael? What about the opening try against the Bulls last year? Frans ran a hard line in drawing at least two defenders, this opened up space on the outside and the Sharks isolated the defender with Jordaan and Mvovo attacking either shoulder. Result, try. All because Frans commands concentrated defence to stop.
It's interesting that you cannot defend Damian on his own merit. You have to belittle other players to make him seem better than he actually is. If I wanted to defend Frans I can easily reference all of the things he does well. I don't have to ever mention another player. If I were to argue him over another, I can weigh up the tangible output of both players. You are clearly incapable of doing this. A common theme with those who criticise my position.
