Lets start with the props issue,   Beast was very good - Malherbe was weak in scrumming and the scrum on his side was static.
De Jager did not make line out calls to Etzebeth and neither did Du Toit - because they want to cut out Etzebeth from performing.  Matfield is a must in the quarters because he is the world's best line out caller.
Morne is the star that should replace Pollard at flyhalf.  He was smooth in passing balls and Pollard is foolish in attacking the gain line - flyhalfs must avoid it at all costs as is the case with Carter.
De Allende is weak and Kriel is physically dominated by his opponent.
The two experts knows everything there is to know about rugby and their comments are indisputable.

Care to find a quote to support your first, second and third paragraphs? And still, I ask you to find one strong tackle from Damian in any game this year. I'm ruling our the hospital pass tackle against Australia, as the player was exposed. Also, a run over an opponent. You said he runs over opponents in every game, especially the Samoan test. You said the stats told you so. Now prove it.
I am not aware of Kriel having a physicality issue as much as a technical one. But I will look out for it. If Moz says he saw something I think there is probably something to it.
Morné was very good yesterday. His decision making and execution was world class. An enormous step up from Lambie. I'll go over that and serve another course of egg, crow and humble pie.

First of all - Mozart refers to static scrumming on Malherbe side.   You referred to Matfield as a solution to the line-out calls issue - both of you want De Jager replaced.  You made the famous Carter claim.  And your center story remains the same throughout.
I bow to your sheer ignorance in rugby evaluation - it is sublime.

I actually said I would choose Lood for Wales. Horses for courses. I said there is a use for both players. What I have been trying to underscore is the fact that Lood has pros as well as cons, things which need to be weighed up. The groupies are saying that Vic is the cause of imaginary problems and must be dropped from the squad because he is useless and Lood is flawless. That is quite honestly the most ridiculously cumbersome reasoning I have seen in a long time... or is it? There have been quite a few candidates of late! So when all is said and done, you are the extremist.
As for Mal, he did not do a better job than Jannie against Scotland. That is a red flag that we should not start him against either Wales or Scotland. It's as simple as that. I did not assess the scrumming of the USA test as I said I watched the game casually with some friends and only looked for a few key things.

This is ridiculous - weakening of the Tight 5 is "imaginary".   So what about the question I ask you about Flip - when you claim he is better than De Jager - no response, so why not.
However, I was just referring to your comments made by you in threads dealing with this game - so why does it bother you?  I was highly complimentary and praised you as world experts on the game - what else do you want from me????

I didn't read your comment on Flip, but will gladly answer your question here. Flip is by quite some distance the most powerful lock in SA. But quite mobile for a big man. We are talking about a man that cleared a pile of All Blacks off a ruck with one shove. To date, Lood has done nothing of the sort. I regard Flip more highly as a lineout general and as a defender. Basically more rounded. Both have head on power but Flip has more range. I have heard a lot about Lood as a ruck cleaner, I quite honestly have seen very little of this. I think people are seeing him around the ruck after rolling away or just in rucks and filling in the blanks. Usually if something is happening the untrained eye of most fans will pick out a face or an obvious incident and ascribe a whole narrative to the game based on that.

Go and see what I wrote about flip when I asked the question.  But what you say here is bloody far removed from reality.  Just a question to which AB game are you referring. I assume you are referring to the Dunedin test in 2012 where for a change  Flip had a surprisingly good game - for the rest his test appearances as a starting lock was marred by yellow cards and poor performance.  I remember him being carded in the 2013 Ellis Park test and also in the 2014 test in June 2014 (second test) against Wales.  In both those two tests his performance was scratchy as well.   With respect - Flippie is not a top lock - but he definitely is a better lock than Matfield.  Have yet to find out what Matfield is at present - a lock he is definitely not.

I'd say Etzebeth is the most powerful lock in SA rugby personally

Eben is very strong, I have no doubt about that. A truly exceptional lock, but I would prefer Flip with him personally. I love Eben's hunger and will to dominate his opposition.
