I gave developed reservations about the chances of the Springboks winning the game.  If they are going to play the stampkar dinosaur rugby they dished up against Wales and New Zealand - they are going to lose.
The matter was further complicated by Meyer's selection of the useless Matfield at lock and the equally useless Pienaar as the scrummy.  Making Matfoeld the captain is sentimental BS by his pal and is sickening and a zero idea as well.
The game could be won - because the Argentinians have lost three key players as a result of injury - but the above is really the issues that complicates a forecast.  The game went from a should be won to a 50:50 forecast.  If there is some sort of a game plan - absent in the last two matches - it would help the Springboks.
Wonder why Meyer did not make his real selections on Saturday.   Play Burger at 10 - where he was in the last two games and bring in the fat and useless Alberts at 7.   Guess it is because we need a goal kicker in the team.

I saw the Argentina team after writing the above.  They are fielding their "B" team largely as a result of injuries,  If the Springboks fail to beat that team it would be a national disgrace - equal to the loss against Japan.
However, the inclusion of Pienaar and Matfield is still a handicap for the Springboks, as will be stampkar dinosaur rugby it continued to be used.   .

...they're fielding their B team ?...not that old nutshell..,,

..more like fresh players that want to make a name for themselves by kicking yr butt..

..Matias Moroni is on for Bosch which is arguably an improvement...Montoya who is playing in the Argie Super Rugby team next year replaces Creevy - Montoya is no slouch, outscoring Creevy....

..Leguizamon is back from injury sustained earlier in pool play...this Argie team will be highly motivated as opposed to SA who probably not v interested in this game..

..a  v dangerous mindset to go in to the game thinking winning is a foregone conclusion against an Argie B team that allegedly poses no threat..

..granted that the loss of Imhoff and Tuculet will have hurt them but that didn't stop them running it til the bitter end against the Aussies last week...world rankings are still at stake as well aren't they?..
