The main topns dicussed were interestng :-

The Break down between the coaching staff and the Team management on the field

In the end there does not appear the necessary co-ordination between the off-gorld management seems to be blamed for inconsistent performances, In the survey about the issue while the off-field management had about 51% support as against 37% support for the captancy seems clear. The panel appears to t hink that Scott Barrett - as the best lock in New Zealand suffers from having too many on-field decisions to eb made by the captain that detract from his performance.

Should the All Blacks select foreign based players to play for the All-Blacks

The on-line survey results were significent -

  1. 26% of the suvey said NO;
  2. 38% of the survey said YES but confined to proven All Black players; and
  3. 34% of the survey said YES

From the above there seems to be pulic pressure to the present scenario where only New Zealand players playing locally qualifies for All Black selection.

Should team changes be made

The only position the panel mentioned was at flyhalf amd seeing three aimles kicks made by the flyhalf was shown before the real discssion menioned.

Although Marshall was part of the panel discussion he did not mention that center playing in France as a potential player s mentioned by Mozart elsewhere.

The matches against the Wallabies

Thwre are some very real problems with the upcoming two Rugby Championship matches, However the topic of team changes and the other topics were made

AB’s need to catch a wake up and get with the times and select foreign based players - same applies to England.

Their self imposed policies are archaic, foot shooting and do not keep players at home

Dave

I agree with you, New Zealand suffered a severe loss of revenue with dnving of Super Rugby and Super Rugby Pacific did not make an impression on the financial problems encountered by Rugby New Zealand. As a result of that problem salaries offered to new players are below what they can get to allow for players to embark on a career as Professional Rugby players in New Zeland,

Another problem that infuence eventual rugby growth is the fact that the New Zealand under 20 team has not won the Under 20 RWC for six years.
