Crap Matfield never took a ball off PSDT that is another lie.
Matfield was owned by PSDT in every facet of play bar defence and that is a fact.
It was not even close.
Matfield could never live with any of our young locks. A player like Mostert of the Lions is even twice the player old man Vic is these days. The guy is a physical liability. The weak link in any team he plays in.
So sad to see given what a class act he was.
Moz your loyalty to this average old timer is admirable but glaringly misplaced. You and our clueless coach are cut from the same cloth. Choosing second rate players is your strength.

Yep I agree his loyalty to Stepfontein, the lucky packet Raainacht and little old Lambie is rather clueless. Hopefully he snaps out of it, we can't afford to lose to minnows like Wales.

Mozart
And the Springboks lose 4 games out of 9 against the top 10 test playing nations in 2014 after Matfield's return as a Springbok - that you never explains.
They would have lost against the AB's another test - if it was not for the player he hates - Lambie. That test was nearly lost because Matfield fluffed a line-out on own throw leading to a try - million of excuses by Mozart. That would have dented our record badly.
So lets look at the 2013 tests played without Matfield:-
Tests played = 12 Won = 10 Lost = 2 Win % = 83,3 And the 2014 tests with Matfield:-
Tests played = 13 Won = 9 Lost = 4 Win % = 69,2
Was that 14,1% drop sheer co-incidence - or was it due to a massive decline in forward play - especially Tight 5 efficiency?
Our strong point in rugby was our Tight 5 performance. Our weak point with Matfield is our Tight 5 - he reduced the Tight 5 to a Tight 4.
You are the witless one who claimed that Matfield was the one player that made a difference to the Bulls performance on Super 15 last year. Was he the one that caused the massive drop in wins last year by the Springboks? Why so quiet on that topic?
The selections by Meyer of Serfontein, Reinach and Lambie were not the problem - they each contributed serious points and performances to all tets - irrespective of whether we won or lost tests. The real clueless selections of Matfield and Morne Steyn cost us dearly.
FACT IS MATFIELD HAD A MASSIVE REPUTATION AS A LOCK IN WORLD RUGBY - IN 2014 HE DID EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO DESTROY THAT REPUTATION.
