If thats your idea of reaching out redman you are way off the mark ,kudos to all who serve especially in either the Aussie Or Kiwi armed forces I have allways backed that up and that is their service no one elses. As for your uncle I have seen too many dickheads claiming this that or the other thing regarding service to take things at face value just ask him about scumbags who claim to have served and you will see why .Once again kudos to him .And your previous posts leave me dubious of anything you say and I see nothing conciliatory in your post ,if you are trying to put your hand out dont qualify it by adding nasty shit in there .I dont hate Aussies ,my kids are Aussies as were my previous wives so dont get what your saying there ,I direct vitriol at you but only by way of reply to whatever nasty crap you post ,what are we to congratulate you for posting garbage ? As for the wobblies I was at Suncorp barracking for them [ I have no problem with that so long as they arent playing the ABS] where were you ?Is picking on gay Asian Kiwis conciliatory ? which bit of your post is ? As for cooper you have no problem droning on rubbish regarding ABs like Maccaw so sauce-goose ....And you chose not to go to the ADFA ? ??? doesnt mean anything other than you didnt want to serve .If you dont what folks getting at you stop with the shit ,easy as that .Beandork sayiing slavery is justified because master hardly ever beats his property and treats them as well as he does his cattle is no justification .

Baboon-ou, I see you have used the following phrase several times on the threads where you are trying to promote your laughably stupid and childlike views: "the Universe created itself from nothing using the laws of gravity".

Where did you suck this crap from? Who ever claimed that the Universe "created itself" from nothing using the laws of gravity? Hmmm? Please answer the question and put up some proof.

As far as I know, no-one is claiming that the Universe "created itself from nothing" which is a silly and childlike notion that you have dreamt up. When it comes to the formation of the universe, modern cosmologists are pretty much agreed on the Big Bang theory which says nothing about creating anything from nothing.

According to the Big Bang theory, over 13 billion years ago, every single atom in the universe, every grain of sand, every planet, every star and every galaxy was condensed into a singularity so incredibly small, so dense and so hot that we cannot conceive of it. Gravity didn't cause the singularity to explode into the universe we know today. During the first few trillionths of nanoseconds of the Big Bang (the Planck epoch), the four fundamental forces of nature (electromagnetism, gravitation, weak nuclear interaction and strong nuclear interaction) were all one force. It was only between 10–43 second and 10–36 second after the Big Bang that gravity separated itself out from the other forces, during what was known as the Grand unification epoch.

I'm not claiming to be a cosmologist or a physicist but I do defer to the expertise of our modern day scientists when it comes to things like this rather than the fairy-stories created by primitive herdsmen.

Baboon-ou, if you want to talk about the Big Bang then at least read up about the basic fundamentals of the theory. That way you won't sound like a complete moron. If you think mine is some crazy minority view, do a bit of reading and you'll find that it is the accepted view of educated and non-brainwashed people.

rooitwit the person propounding this aburd notion is the atheist Stephen Hawkin. He was of course desparate to disprove any idea of God creating the universe. Dont act dumb, I explained all this to you and even quoted  what Hawkins said and a step by step demolition of his ludicrous arguments.
Bwahahhahahaha this is the best the atheistis have - Hawkins being their top brain.
Face facts rooitwit you guys are toast.  Science has been catching up with bible revelation and now its all egg for the poor atheists!

rooitwit you can read it in Stephen Hawkin's book the Grand design(a misleading title as he says the is no design). On page 180 he writes:"because there is a law of gravity, the Universe can an will create itself out of nothing".Better still read Prof John lennox's book re God and Stephen Hawkin. He completely demolishes this rediculous statement. In the end you see how desaparete the atheists are - they are indeed toast. I am glad you realsie how stupid this si but wonder if you really understand how daft it is. Do you recall my posting Lenn oxes refutation of this absurd view?

Rooineck is spot on , evidence for the "big bang " theory is overwhelming ,Edwin Hubble first came up with evidence of an expanding universe ,indeed many many smarter men than you beenhead have thought this out .But a mountain of evidence means nothing to someone who thinks the ABS have lost to the Boks for the last 2 years .Like all deniers you choose to overlook actual evidence over what some peanut came up with while sitting on the dunny .[ where all that bullshit of yours belongs ]

Rooinek: our good friend Beeno has a faith-based approach so arguments using facts will not make a dent in this. In fact nothing will. It is like the "score board doesn't count" type thing, lol   I would rather enjoy our differences, anything else is futile unless one chooses to be provocative.

For those interested re the time frame of creation read Prof John Lenoxes book "Seven days that divide the world".Read pages 52 to 63 for starters. The verb created in genisis1 is in the perfect tense," and the normal use ofthe perfect tense at the very begining of a pericope is to ensure that an event that took place before the storyline gets under way. Thus the "begining" of geneiss one DID NOT TAKE PLACE ON DAY ONE AS IS SOMETIMES ASSUMED.It is clear the initial creation took place before day one. This means the age of the earth and universe is a separate question from the interpretaion of the days. The age of the Universe is not disclosed. It may well be old. THE BIBLE DOES not PRECLUDE AN OLD UNIVERS/EARTH.Looking very closely at the hebrew text Lennox makes some very interesting points. In the seventh day there is no mention of evening and morning - a striking ommission. The seventh day continues until today as God is "resting from his work of creation" although still working re sustaining the universe. In genesis 2.4 the word "when" is used to translate "in the day" and here its like an eldery man saying In my day there were quite a few aircraft in the sky. He would be using the word day correctly but not to referIng to a 24 hour period. It is also noted that the defite article is not used to describe days 1 to 5 but only 6 to 7.I cannot go into all the detail here but it is clear that again the bible does not preclude for example days of creation separated by time. Lennox is a professor of pure mathematics at the University of Oxford. He has a brilliant clear thinking mind.
I would remind all that the atheist postion was that the universe had no beginiing. Ou rooitwit bought into that position. When debating Richard Dorkins Prof Lennox reminded dorkins of that error that modern science has debunked.  Dorkins tried to shrug it off saying it was no big deal as the bible may have got it right but it had a fifty fifty chance of being right!! HahahahahahahahahaBut it was of course a very big deal. All this accounts for Stephen Hawkin's desparate attempt to argue "because there is a law of gravity, the Universe can an will create itself out of nothing".There is now nowhere to hide for the atheist. The discovery of the Human genome and its billions of letters (using a 4 letter language) and the mind blowing complexity of the simplest cell have totally undone the aethist. RIP aethism. Trouble us no longer. "The fool has said in his heart there is no God" Time to become wise.

More embarrassment to you friend JW. Its modern science that is burying the atheist. What is great is those believeing the bible got it right. In the begining. Yes there was a begining and at long last science has had to acknowleddge that.
So what would you think more logical JW. This incredibly complex and brilliantly designed universe was created or that the laws of gravity created it from nothing.(The aethists best shot at explaining matters which even ou rooitwit thinks is crazy - could be some hope for ou rooitwit but I mustnt get too optimistic as he just doesnt want to face facts)

Sorry to laugh at all this oaks but to think sane people actually believe all this nonsense is really incredible. Hahahhahahahaha

Yes Cloudy a more absurd postion on matters would be very difficult to imagine. Hence the biblical quote - a fool has said in his heart there is no God. The heavens declare the GLORY of God.
Time to wise up. Put away this nonsense and seek God while you can as He will reveal himself to all those who seek Him.

"Jw I didnt say dont count but I did say it does not tell the whole story and also that it sometimes arrives at the wrong conclusion. "

So even in your world there is room for interpretation & taking into account other relevant factors in the bigger picture may result in a different conclusion, lol

But back to rugby, acknowledging that the primary fact is the scoreboard is an important step in your recovery Beeno. Congrats!

Atheism is not believing in a superior being...
FYI Beeno, the universe was created when matter reacted with each other in space creating a cataclysmic reaction spreading dust particles throughout space. Over billions of years these dust particles gathered and creating planets etc. A lot more believable than God.
I'm pretty sure Jesus was an early sort of mushroom/weed dealer and his followers hallucinated his 'great actions' while off their nut.

The Roman Emperor Constantine convened the council of Nicea and ordered them to get their crap together and codify a bible ,any version was fine he didnt care but the Romans demanded order and so men being men and the Nicean council being all men with a political bent only kept what suited them .Several gospels were discarded among them the Gospel Of Judas .So the bible as it is is incomplete and has been hacked to suit whoever had the power to do as such .Georges Le Matre was a Jesuit priest who was one of the first to postulate the big bang theory [ a term which was used derisively by proponents of the "steady state theory "]had no problem with it as a way of explaining the mechanism of creation ,as do most established churches .As I said before Hubble proved that the universe was expanding and Penzius and Wilson discovered the background radiation from the moment of creation while using the Bell Labs Horn Antenna ,you can see it still as the "white noise " in an old untuned telly .24 hour days are an Egyptian invention .

The Gospel of Judas shows that he was actually a tragic figure who was forced to follow the path laid out for him although this would result in his vilification for all time and Jesus told him as much .Puts a different slant on it eh ?Jesus was originally depicted as being the son of God but still a man ,the Nicean council made him into a divine being as opposed to a flesh and blood person  ,albeit the son of God .

Cheaser please you are not even at the begining of the issue. The problem is where did all the material came from. SCIENCE SAYS THERE WAS A BEGINING. MATTTER IS NOT ETERNAL.
Hence Hawkins the most celebrated atheistic mind in the world today states the laws of gravity created the universe from NOTHING. He has had to admit at one point there was nothing. Fatal admission but forced into it by the evidence. His explanation however is laughable.
AT WHAT POINT DID MATTER BEGIN TO LIVE. Another huge problem. Why is there so much coded information in DNA etc. The design intelligence is staggering. everywhere one looks.
The big bang theory does not violate any biblical teach and is a possiblity.

 The_Truth, Science isn't a religion.
Cloudy, some apes are at different stages of evolution. You're environment shapes a species evolution as they adapt to it. Big Bang theory is still proven, even with those doubts, as the universe keeps expanding and the distance between galaxies increase. Also dust doesn't turn into ash with the great heat as fire doesn't occur in space as there's no oxygen, so it just stays as dust, super heated dust.

The Biggest bang theory is currently the strongest theory held among Scientists to explain the creation of the universe.
However it is by no means conclusive, and accepting it blindly as definitive fact is no better than accepting religion as fact.
[In modern usage, "science" most often refers to a way of pursuing knowledge, not only the knowledge itself.]

Even if the process of how the  universe originated   is entirely accurate, there are some gaps like how the Big Bang itself was initiated. A god under such circumstance cant be discluded from the equation .

OK Beeno - I will return to the subject of the thread by saying this (at least by my understanding):

WE all have free choice.

Even those that choose not to believe in forces greater than the visible universe should at least read and study the bible to become a more well rounded and educated individual - then they may be able to add some educated view point to the thread.

The Christian Greek scriptures state that ALL humans are SLAVES to sin and death...

Mozart correctly points out that Sir Isaac Newton was a Christian and had faith in the bible - AS OPPOSED TO RELIGION.... he disputed many of the churches doctrines and disputed the Trinitarian doctrine along with many other church created convolutions...

On saying all this I still think that kiwis make good slaves to their Aussie masters.... lol - lighten up kiwis....  .....
