Nobody craves your attention Rooiaas...I bet even your dogs run away from you and apart from psychopathic tendancies...you suffer from delusions of grandeur and yes I have a very good Welsh friend who lives in NZ who is a first class Taffy and you sure are not the bread of heaven or the men of harlech. I have a great respect for the Welsh.

Your resentfulness and bitterness and inability to forgive and forget is killing you...yeah chronic treatment is needed...get Dr Phil on board...on second thoughts,no Dr Phil has become more psychotic since he started his shows than some of his patients...lol.

You also are a fault finder par excellence and a bully...you need to get a life and try treating people with more respect...after all none of us is perfect, except in your self deception.

"Once you've proven to me you have some character or some integrity we can start..."

Now there's a laugh.....the troublemaker, liar and hypocrite has the hide to demand integrity from someone else! You are correct Cloudy, he has no life, if he has then it's  a miserable one, in fact it's so desperate and miserable that he can remember a discussion going back a year. I can tell you that right now he'll be all over Google to find that discussion. Hey Rooijies, get a life you misery, glad I'm not the only who believes you're lonely, bitter and twisted misery.
"Once you've proven to me...." How arrogant can one be! I mean, seriously now...who the hell are you!

"Rooinek I have no idea what you are talking about maybe you can find the conversation from a year ago and refresh my memory and then I can address it?"

.

Something wrong with the forum formatting today but here is the relevant URL: http://www.ruckersforum.com/forum.cfm?threadid=6546

.

Your 1st comment on that thread is the one I had an issue with and the one that you were too gutless to substantiate.

Ag Voietog....so desperate for an apology(sigh).....tell me, when have you ever apologized? Surely, there has to be one....after more than a decade I've yet to see one. I hope Cloudy ignores you....she'd be stupid if she did apologise, 'cause no matter what you do and say there'll never be one forthcoming from you....misery!

"In my defence though I was getting hammered by both you and boklogic and I hadn't been in the forum that long."

.

Really? I find that hard to believe. Boklogic (aka Smallc0ck) and I were pretty much diametrically opposed to one another when it came to rugby and any other topic so I find it very hard to believe we ever ganged up on you as you are making out.

.

As for bearing a grudge, you misunderstand me. I treat people on these forums on their merits. If someone lies to me or acts like a coward then I peg them as a cowardly liar. I don't sit there fuming about whatever it is they did, I just treat them with the contempt they deserve. It's not the incident itself I remember, it's the nature of the person that I keep in mind.

.

I suspected all along that you must have mixed me up with someone else when you made those comments because not only do I not bleat about cheating refs, I am in a tiny minority of posters (sometimes I think it's a minority of one) who actively defend and support referees (all referees including Bryce Lawrence) . . . so your insinuation that I was a regular ref-basher were particularly insulting. No worries though, I do accept your rather belated apology.

.

Okay, that is hopefully now water under the bridge so back to the topic at hand . . . just as you stand by your comments on Justin Marshall, so do I. I have been on many different forums (including the Silver Fern) over the years so when you (or Wardad) tell me that New Zealanders don't rate Justin Marshall as a scrumhalf then I know for a fact that you're talking crap. I'm not claiming that I know what a loaf of bread costs in Christchurch or what the weather is like in Albany but I do have a pretty good knowledge of All Black rugby history and what New Zealanders think of their rugby players.

.

Now, you say I am being arrogant because I have an opinion on Justin Marshall's abilities as a rugby player - because he's a New Zealander and I'm not - well, all I can say in my defence is that I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that I have seen Justin Marshall play more minutes of rugby than you and a lot of other Kiwis so I believe I'm entitled to my opinion. I also hear what he says as a commentator and I'm puzzled by the reactions he gets from Kiwis . . . which is really the only point I ever made on this particular thread.

.

As I said, I suspect it's because he doesn't pander to this myth that All Blacks are some kind of ubermenschen and many of you All Black supporters can't handle that. If I'm wrong then explain to me what I'm missing about this alleged devil who is Justin Marshall . . . but don't try to convince me that he was a crap rugby player because that just doesn't wash. He was an All Black legend.

Shut up Dense. No-one rattled your cage. If I ever want to know what the grovelling and servile arse-lickers of the world think about anything then I'll be sure to ask for your opinion. Until then, rather just shut your cakehole and stick to what it is you do best . . . kissing a fat, pale and wrinkled old arse.

Err Rooinek, the lady apologized. So you hold Justin Marshall in higher esteem than others, ok no problem. IMO he is a self serving smart-ass who goes out of is way to be "objective" - often over the top in his efforts. It's irritating (mainly because it encourages Beeno-ism) but I can live with it as a bit of controversy is good to rave on about once in a while. Not worthy of digging up historical posts & making a big deal about what a poster said years ago. Banter is banter & good for a laugh, exchange of facts & opinion but that's about it. We are not in court & it's not life or death.

"Err Rooinek, the lady apologized."

.

I know. Have another little read and you'll see that I accepted her apology. Thanks for your concern.

.

Back to the topic at hand (again!), there are two separate arguments here . . . firstly, whether Justin Marshall is a useless commentator and secondly, whether he was a crap player. I'm saying I don't understand why Kiwis get so upset with his comments that seem perfectly reasonable to me . . . and I am no wiser as to why you consider him to be a "smart-ass" . . . and secondly, I'm saying anyone who doesn't rate him as one of the great All Black scrumhalves of all time doesn't know what he (or she) is talking about.

.

Hope that's clear now.

Feel better now? Kinda made your day Huh? Arselicker Huh? I've never felt the need to defend myself while the accusation comes from a low life like you. You have no friends and the only life you have is hogging a message board. Now that you've got your apology you can piss off back to lurking the board.

Rooi, glad you accepted her apology. On Justin Marshall, my opinion is that his smart-ass, self-serving behavior irritates me & others. He goes out of his way to be "objective" knowing this panders to the international audience & knowing the some controversy in NZ is also good for his exposure. Such antics make me less inclined to rave about what a decent half back he was.

Ok. To summarise, I like Justin Marshall. I think he was a great player and I like the fact that he can be critical of New Zealand rugby. The fact that he annoys the rest of you Kiwis so much when he is critical makes me like him even more!

'Favorite is not necessarily best' ....hahaha.....'but Gareth Edwards came close'. So Joost the greatest scrumhalf we have ever produced, doesn't even rate a mention. We have a real scrumhalf expert here. Truth is the AAS used to complain about Joost's so called 'step and pass', although he now denies it and those records are gone so I can't prove it. The AAS likes to think of himself as some kind of rugby gourmet who alone can appreciate the nuances, that's why he picked Jean Deysel over Juan smith.....bwaaaaaaaahahaha.

.

Another blatant lie but what I can prove is where I stated quite clearly that the team I picked is a team of my "favourite" players and Moffie - in his typically devious and dishonest manner - tried to pretend I rate Craig Davidson as a better player than Joost rather than my favourite SA scrumhalf.

.

Disgusting lies from a despicable human being . . . but pretty much what I've come to expect from the spiteful and petulant child that is Moffie.

Unfortunately I also remember you choosing Craig Davidson over Joost for the 2003 WC when you were running your campaign against Joost's step and pass. At that stage you clearly thought he was the better player...you are such a transparent liar AAS.

So what does the AAS really think about Joost? Status: Senior player Posts: 3384 RE: Joost Van Der Westhuizen August 25, 2014, 12:23:35 In that case I stand corrected. I understood they both had Lou Gehrig's disease, whatever it's scientific name. Either way, it sounds to me like both diseases are debilitating and I think Andre Venter deserves a mention whenever this Joost thing comes up . . . and he at least manages to keep his name out of the trash magazines. 0 Likes

As far as many of us Kiwis think his off field antics dont make him a 'great ' .And prior to the proffessional era other srummies have had shorter careers with a better hit rate for tries etc. Someone being a 'great " is very subjective and if you think hes one thats fine . Just dont try and tell us we have to think he is thanks .Sid going would still keep him out of an ABs best ever XV .

The truth is Marshall was the third best scrumhalf of his era, behind Joost and behind Gregan. Does that make him a great? Probably not, just a very competent test scrumhalf of his time. His commentary is hard to judge from where we sit, but these guys who are critical of their former teams rarely sit well. Mallett is also a serial moaner, and rarely a constructive force. Rassie Erasmus another such....lots of hot air. Certainly if you become a serial critic of a team, it's hard to be considered an all time great in that team....you kinda forfeit the right.
