Schalk had an awesome game and would definitely be my Bok 7 along with Duane at 8 and Coetzee at 6. That last sentence is taking things a bit far, Coetzee has had a better game this season even though you don't appreciate what he does and the Lions loosies are not to be taken for granted.
Kolisi also had a good game but Carr on the other hand was overshadowed by the other two and did very little of note.

Mozart has gone dilly again like he always does. Burger was in some respects good today - he is a good linker. To call it the "SA Loosie performance of the S15 so far" is crazy.
Schalk did well in linking play - always his strong point - but his defense was way below par and the absence of ball protection and recovery was clear as daylight.

It was an impressive display, Burger is still a quality loose forward with experience. He's proved a lot of people wrong, Burger's linking play around players is superb and he is able to get over the advantage line a few times as well. Even though he's got all those attributes i don't think he is consistent enough to be a first choice Springbok but off the bench he could definitely make an impact which can always be a good option with a player of that type.
Carr and Kolisi showed some class as well this week. It looks like Carr adapts alot better as a number 8 than at openside flank, the innovation to move him to 8 made a huge difference to his style of play, good to see him find his form back.

Nice post Jerome....I agree with most of your points. I'm also not sure Schalk is a starter but a great finishing option for the Boks. And while I am not usually a Kolisi fan, he certainly made some great busts today.

Cheaser please check in at the local optition and see if he can render you some assistance. Kolisi was invisible. Wee Carr at least tried.
The loose trio for the Stormers should be Rhodes (6) Vermuelen and Burger.
The reasom the Stormers are loosing is because of the absence of Elstadt and Rhodes. Our pack so dominant that the fragility of our micro backs was to a large extent nullified.
We need the above loose trio and guys like Howard and Jonny Kotze coming into the frame. Huw Jones is another.
Too many microlights and you bomb out as has been proved time and again ad nauseum.

Way off the mark bean brain. Kolisi and Carr were good enough, they got involved in the game and made their presence known. Elstadt isn't great, he's too slow and can't break the line and link offload pass like Carr and Kolisi.

Spot on...this obsession with big plodding players is way off the mark. The Stormers will win if they can get guys like Kolbe in some space.

The early dominant Stormers pack is less so without Elstadt and Rhodes. Coetzee now needs to play Rhodes, Carr and Burger.
Kolisi is a wimpy show pony who does very little. Carr at least tries.
Mike we will battle against top sides unless Coetzee wakes up.

Just odd that WP won the CC with its midgets - but never ever anything more than that. Big fish in a small pond - small fish lost completely in a big pond.
The midgets are the reason they lost yesterday - and they will continue to lose as a result. They could not tackle the bigger opponents - they could not retain ball possession, the opposing players just took it from them.
The sooner that you realize that brain and muscle power must collaborate in the game of rugby and that lack of one or both is detrimental to a teams interest - the sooner you will come up with logical contributions totally absent up to this stage.
