Sharkbok injuries didnt help in that third test. Wasnt Alberts also out etc. Goosen will come in but it maybe a blessing if he does no play test rugby till next year.

Meyer took the bulle from bottom dwellers in the super comp to a top side. Give the guy some credit.

Those forecasting nowhere under Meyer could be proved incorrect - its very early days. We shall see. The man however has earned some respect so give him a chance.

Beeno It does not seem you read or take onboard the points of each blog posters arguement- instead just spamming your own opinion onto each thread without dialogue or discourse of the trail of thought of a blog.

I quote what I said -"It is his selections that is making everyone negative"- sub standard bulls

I am conscious that Meyer built up a good team for the Bulls

Jake White should also get some of the credit for developing players- before the Bulls became a good team. The Bulls were rubish in 2004 when Jake White became bok coach-that Season the boks won the Tri-nations. Jak White chose many Bulls forwards who from a poorly performing team.

In time the Bulls had allmost all of the Bok Forwards. This is the main reason the Bulls became so good. The Bulls had the best forward pack in the Super15(allmost all 1st choice boks). This was too much to deal with, especially playing the bulls at home. They were winning at bok level before Super xv level

The problem is that now Meyer is picking Bulls who should not even be in the Starting xv. The Bulls forwards now are crap compared to the last 6 years or so. Look at WP kruger... Jake White would never have chosen that idiot. Kirchner is crap. Spies does not play as well as he used to pre-2007.

I wrote an article on this- Meyer would have loved to become Bok coach in 2008- with all his Bulls in their prime. Now he is stuck with the new generation who are poor in comparison.

Goosen must be in the team asap. Forget about blessings that he is injured. Morne Steyn is good behind a dominant pack- not much else.

Matfied was the best lineout jumper in the game. A kick for territory game works well when the opposing teams lineout is being killed.

The All Blacks rated him as the best lineout jumper ever in 2009.

Although when ever Danie Roussow replaced Matfield, the scrummaging became much better- and the forwards generally became stronger.

The Bok lineout at the moment is not very strong so kicking for territory is not as effective.

I have confidence in Meyer- I am just dissapointed that he keeps favouring Bulls that are not the best in their positions. Regardless of game plan, only the best players can beat the All Blacks

Not true.

The Bulls in Jake White's 2004 team (just prior to the TN) were Matfield, Botha, Pedrie and Jacques Cronje. Aginst the Pacific Islanders it was Matfield, Cronje and Pedrie. For the TN it was (1) Botha & Cronje (2) Botha (3) Botha & Matfield (4) Botha & Matfield. EOYT 2004 was Botha & Matfield and in the last two games Rossouw as well. Jake White hardly ever (if ever) had more than three Bulls in his starting 15. On many occasions he only had one Bulls player in his starting 15.

@radtab and sharkbok and mike....all your posts are relevant to the point but my dear old friend beeno just not seem to read the posts and just posts his own view...

the no cups coetzee voodoo is be strong with you my friend. please do you status on this blog some justice and please have a look at old footage on either youtube or i will send you all the past 4 odd years archive footage. then when you have a look at the tactics and compare that to the other teams then come and comment.

the point that everyone is trying to make beeno is that the message that meyer is sending is giving 99% of the supporters. sorry more like 80% because the stormers fan boys will love the kicking forward obsessed game plan. dont like the feeling the  HM is creating. if you can gather the general rugby IQ on this site is far more than the mindless sites like keo the coke ranger and censor24.com aka news24 ext. the likes of sharkbok mike radtab moz you name it do know and understand the fundamentals of rugby. reading some of the posts i would not mind them being part of the rugby braintrust on a management level. so if they feel uneasy in the direction that meyer is taking then there sure as a bear taking a crap in the woods there surely must be a problem.

making statements like we dont have the backs to compete with the wallies and ab and that he can coach morne back in regards to kicking just says tells something of his approach and mindset. the people that know know where rugby is evolving but there is a level of frustration of how SA always seems to cling to a by gone era of tactics and player managment. looking at the management team that HM is getting together it clearly shows where we are heading. no backline coaching of any repute

we all on this site want this boks to be the best. for in order for that to happen the tactics need to reflect a style of play that will win us 99% of games. by playing the 10 man game we can forget of being the best in the world. you need total rugby. 1 to 15 must be able to be involved. the more weapons a team has to score points the better your chances to beat other teams. AB are the benchmark to beat. they are across the board well rounded. there is a lesson for us to learn from this.

we can be the best in every department but it all starts in how we approach the game. going into a game with negative tactics and spoiling defence forward obsessed mindset can only last so long. being easy predictable means your also easy beatable.

this is the cold hard facts. the game has move forward and everyone on this site and if one can use the PE crowd in the last test against the poms as a barometer the whole country is fed up with that negative mindset. people want a rwc 2007 and the game against the wallies in the rwc 2011 style of play a cross the board. we are capable of playing that style and i promise you that pattern of play will make us unstoppable for years and years to come.

I haven't read all the threads on the subject but I also feel that Meyer is a huge disappointment. Ideas like getting Fourie Du Preez back, pulling Matfield out of retirement and making him Captain, employing a hopelessly failed tactic in the kicking game, stacking the team with Bulle duds whilst overlooking natural choices like Kankow and Jordaan tells me that Meyer is clueless. Hell knows I gave ou PDV heaps and was glad to see the back of him ......are we in for another 4 years of misery under Meyer?!

Meyer is obsessed with Bulls players- Even the 2nd rate misfits of 2012. No Bull is good enough to start in the 4 nations, only on the bench. Ruan Pienaar should be scrumhalf with Pat Lambie at flyhalf.

Meyer has a contract with the Bulls- to select a certain amount of their players. Then after Meyer is bok coach he will become the coach of the Bulls again.

How else can such favouritism be explained.

Werner Kruger- the worst prop ever in the Super14 and for the Boks- against the English. When ever he came on the field the whole team fell apart.

Potgieter- dumb and dumber- Their is vast range of loose fowards to choose from better than this clown.

Spies- another coach would have dropped him for a more complete loose forwards

Morne Steyn- assured of the flyhalf spot.

Zane Kirchner- lucky to even be playing at Super 15 level.

Lock- both of the bulls are average, surely better options available.

Misiekind - thank goodness he has gone to Japan.
