According to the stats you have posted Mike, his height is not the problem, its his weight!

I think we have a problem at Sevens level - the players have serious speed - but they are too small to be really competitive.  They did exceptionally well early in the latest series - but his performances deteriorate later and the reason is they have to compete against the bigger players all the time and ultimately it counts against them.
The situation will have to change or we are on the way to nowhere in Sevens - will be high on the log and with rare exceptions will be in the semis, but the chances of winning cups are limited to not more than about 20%.
Unfortunately physical size and stamina i an essential in rugby today.  I would say you can have not more than 2 smallish players in Sevens - three is just too many.

Everyone has pace in 7s, but physicality to breach and hold up defenders and affect turnovers is what makes champions. We were good at this when we won the series under Treu, but fell away as he struggled the find the players to bring that balance.

Moz, that photo is no proof either way, the other bloke might be standing on something. Wiki has Senatla at 1.86m. Why doubt it when many other sources concur?

I don't believe he's 6ft 1...
It's probably a typo, 1.86m is 6ft 1 and 1.76m is 5ft 9.

Actually Draad if anything I think the picture understates the difference as Senatla is positioned in front of Kunatani. But I'm sure he is about as tall as that other " 6 ft 1inch" chappie Mathew McConaughey.

I do not think that one can make a real assessment of player height based on a photo alone - and prefer to stick with the official player stats.   They normally are correct insofar as height is concerned - because height increase after the age of 20 is an extreme rarity in the case of humans.
In the case of Senatla - his height according to SA Rugby official stats is given as 1,86 meter, the same height given by Wikipedia.  1,86 equates to 6'1".

  1. Seabelo Senatla, 1.86m, 76kg???
  2. Werner Kok, 1.79m, 92 kg
  3. Kwagga Smith, 1.80m, 80kg
  4. Cecil Afrika, 1.77m 70kg

Taller and bigger than all of them, yet he's only 76kg? Don't ad up.

 Draad
We should wait and see what weight is given before the match tomorrow.   That is normally correct and not necessarily reflected in the sites we get player profiles from.

Senatla could have his studs on whilst the others have theirs off?
Bit unlikely but I'm just trying to look for an explanation, he's definitely not 6ft 1.
Mind I dont think he's 76kg's, I think he's probably more around the 80 - 85kg mark.
