Well as I have explained many times before....if a player stays in the line and makes only defensive tackles, they are bound to have a high success rate. If they try for deep offensive tackles going in at pace, they are going to miss something like half of those....de Jongh does that all the time. S till he missed no tackles in three of his 11 S15 matches.

Juan defends the egde very well. That brings play to the Stormers dominate loose forwards and they can start to suffocate you. de Jongh is very important to the Stormers. And what makes it all the more remarkable is that he has a turnstile inside him. The 12 is supposed to be the glue between 13 and the inside backs, not having that inside protection leaves 13 exposed but de Jongh still survives. Only Fourie could do that. So it says alot about how well he performs.

Mozart explains away deficiencies in the most wonderful way and it is normally a repeat of hogwash if he tries to justify the defensive deficiencies of his favourites. De Jongh routinely has the worst missed tackle ratio of all 13's - but what is more important is the fact that he makes weak tackles and on Saturday he made two weak tackles where the Rebels scored tries because the tackles were so weak they player stood erect and could off-load the balls with ease. Other cases where De Jongh did not even attempt to make tackles of players running past him is not reflected as missed tackles.
He remains a seriously defective player insofar as defense is concerned at 13 - whether Mozart and Letsal like it or not. Ok now for the rest of the BS:-
"Still he missed no tackles in three of his 11 S15 matches."
Why do you always try and mislead members of this site. De Jongh played in 12 of the games of the Stormers and he did not have missed tackles in 3. In the other 9 games he made 47 tackles and missed 18. In the 9 matches only his missed tackle ratio was 27,7%. If the 16 tackles made in the 3 matches he statistically missed no tackles is added his missed tackle ratio is still 22,2%. Still a very poor tackle record, which you are trying to hide away in the hogwash you came up once again to hide away the real tackle record of De Jongh. When will you ever be honest when it comes to the usage of stats?

Wonderful and Unbelievable BS you are spouting. De Jongh has a missed tackle ratio of 22,2% and Fransie 26,2%. That is probably the worst defensive stats any two players can have at center. The turnstyle you mentioned is Steyn and De Jongh. Steyn missed in excess of 1 tackle in every four attempted, De Jongh in excess of 1 tackle in every 5 attempted tackles.
Fact is Steyn is the worst frontline attacking center at 12 in Super 15. In all matches he played in he made 1 line break and beat 8 defenders. De Allende did more in 1 game and for you to say that Steyn is a better attacking center is absolute tripe - but we are used to that BS from you.
This generalized daydreams stated as fact unfortunately through repetition became lies. So stop repeating unsubstantiated rubbish as facts.

I should know better- Letsal is such a fool he is not able to understand anything about stats and statistical evaluation. He should ask his fellow idiot Mozart to come to his help and explain to him what is meant with both.
It is not what I read into it - it is what is read into it scientifically, but that again is beyond your mental capacity to understand rugby.
The defense of Frans is utter BS - a center missing more than 12% of his attempted tackles is not worth being rated as a defender and Frans is double that.
What a stupid village idiot we have here.

What you posted on Fransie in 2013 IS RAW DATA. I did an EVALUATION of the data so as to find a performance indicator. IN essence it goes way over your head and to discuss such issues with you is like talking to a bird brain. I should give up and just accept that whatsoever you say about player performances are a load of prejudiced and utter BS. Needless to discuss anything with you because your knowledge of rugby is so far below par - you do not understand the most basic issues.

Now get this straight BSter who calls me a liar - 26,2 is a higher missed tackle ratio than 26,1 - and 22,2 is a very high average for a 13.
Now since you called me a liar - based on a lie of yours - you must apologize or it will confirm that you are the biggest idiot and liar on this site.

YOUR FELLOW IDIOT SAID THE CENTER PAIRING OF STEYN AND DE JONGH WOULD BE AN IDEAL CENTER PAIRING AND CARY ON ABOUT THAT THEY WOULD BE IDEAL DEFENDERS.
Is useless Fransie a 12 or is he not? Is De Allende a 12 or is he not? It is Steyn measured as against De Allende - Not De Allende measured against De Jongh.
IF YOU ARE INDEED TO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THAT - THEN I GIVE UP.
Now another point - De Allende is a 10 times better attacking player than Steyn - so even though there are reservations about his defence - which is better than Steyn in any event - he brings things to the party in attacking play to compensate - while Steyn brings near to zero to the team in that aspect of the game.
NOW APOLOGIZE LIAR FOR YOUR ABSOLUTE STUPIDITY IN THIS CASE.

I'm not going to bother with this smokescreen. The fact is all three centres have poor raw stats, but in fact contribute much more defensively than numbers alone suggest. But to harp on Steyn and de Jongh's numbers and ignore de Allende's similarly poor stats is typical Moronic dishonesty.

That would not help - you ignorant twit.
But then I accept you are devious and pretend not to understand why the answer to Letsal was in that form and treated as a response to a ridiculous suggestion he made. What a bloody useless liar you are.
Another thing - you knew full well - or should have known it - that you quoted the fact that De Jongh had no missed tackles in three matches, avoiding the fact like a plague that despite those three matches he still had thus far a way below par tackle record in Super 15. Was that being honest about the situation as to his tackling performance in all 12 matches he played in or another prostitution of the truth by you?

Another wiggle by a snake to get out of a situation he landed himself in. The liar cannot prove that I ever discussed De Allende stats other than to agree previously on two occasions that there is a need for improvement in the defense area in respect of De Allende. When you raised the issue in the past I agreed with you on it - but at the same time indicated that De Allende compensated for that deficiency in other aspects of the game where he makes positive contributions - something virtually entirely absent in the performances of Steyn.

This is absolute BS from the ABSOLUTE liar and snake Mozart. The issue is clear as daylight. I responded to the idiot Letsal when he said the center combination should be the equally useless pair of Steyn and De Jongh.
Snakesh!t then took my response completely out of context to launch an attack on De Allende and called my a liar for comparing the stats of De Allende with that of De Jongh. The latter's stats was carefully evaded when he made a devious claim about how De Jongh never missed tackles in 3 of the 11 matches played. He even lied about that - it was in 3 out of 12 matches played. However - he refrained from providing De Jongh's stats on the tackle issue because despite his devious and misleading statement De Jongh's tackle stats were still showing a 22+ missed tackle ratio.
I then pointed out he was talking BS and insisted that he apologized for calling me a liar and then came back with a further lie about me ignoring the De De Allende stats. The snaksh!tt himself wrote a thread about that one last week and in response I said that De Allende's tackle stats is below par and it needs attention from the Stormer's management. I also pointed out that while De Allende compensated for his sub-par tackle record by top performances in other aspects of his game performances - Steyn did zero to compensate elsewhere for his deficiency iro of tackle deficiency.
Despite that Snakesh!t keeps on with his lies - the fourth set of it in one thread. What a liar this idiot is. However - what is clear, lies about performances of this idiot's favourite players is par for the course and he becomes vicious when anyone exposes those.

Standard Balls from the standard Village Idiot
Let em correct the sentence quoted by Letsal:-
"Ironic how de Jongh was criticized as being weak, yet Francois Steyn is the one who was run over. Nothing on attack either, nonexistant lines of running"
Stick to facts and people will start to believe you. De Allende cover on both sides iw for 10 and 13 against the bigger players just running over the BSters both sides of him. Steyn does nothing of the kind. Funny how Steyn made 8 tackle attempts on Saturday - made 5 and missed 3. De Allende made 15 attempts - made 12 and missed three
Talking about attacking play - Steyn carried the ball on Saturday twice - was caught behind the gain line on both occasions and beat 1 defender. More or less standard insofar as attacking play by him is concerned - since his record is an average meter gain of 2,8 meters per carry, 1 line break in all matches played this year beating 8 defender tackles. Sick stats for a center. De Allende on Saturday carried the ball 6 teams - making 48 meters (ie 8 meters per carry on average), making 2 clean line breaks and beating 3 tackle attempts in the process. If you can come up with a reason for the standard non-performance of Steyn, occurring in virtually every match he played in it would be most amusing to read it - I love to read about the hallucination of others.

Where was De Jongh the 90% he was invisible on the field of play. He was constantly way out of position hiding on the other side of the field when the ball was passed and that is why he only got 1 ball past to him the whole game and only making 3 tackles. .
That account also for him making 3 tackles. I raised the issue at the time and as a result of your snivelling idiocy try to follow De Jongh as to where he was on the field of play during the whole match and he definitely was missing from where he was supposed to be.
He was freaking useless in both tests and since then Meyer knew better than to include him in his squads.

Guys, I am not shouting Jantjes praises, but compare the pic I posted of him with De Jongh, obviously a few year back (no tattoos on his arms) and the pic Saff posted. It is obvious he has bulked up plenty. He may have been a little light weight before, but clearly, at 90kg's, he is an acceptable weight for a fly half now ?
