Now that we are playing serious rugby, it's clear experience trumps youth. The best players from the four best teams on the planet produced nearly half.....seven.....players over 30. And none....that is zero....players under 24. The Seven golden oldies are:
Adam Ashley Cooper.
Nonu

Mitchell
Carter
McCaw

Francois Louw

Marcos Ayerza.
I haven't run the numbers but I'm guessing the average age will be about 29. Seems the problem wasn't that we had some veteran players, but that the other team's vets were just a bit better on the day.

The young gun theory is blown out the water again.

The age maniac again.   What a farce you make about everything.  Nobody preach the young gone theory - all that is suggested that experience should go hand-in-hand with performance.  Comprehende?
Problem is for you age and experience is the only requirement - performance is not necessary.   That is generally known as a farcical approach to sport.

In the final NZ and OZ will probably have about 12-1300 caps each I think ? So experience does win cups .

NZ is packed with experience at 10, centre and the loosies...for the rest youth rules.
Oz have experience at 12, 2 and wing....the rest are young.
