An utter balls-up where the captain and Vice-captain was piss poor in performance and the same in leadership.

 Listen to these idiots banging on about a loss to Japan.....its simple clowns we had 10 thirty year olds and above in our starting side with Mvovo aged 29 as the 11th old fart....had Alberts started as originally selected we would have had 12 geriatrics in the side.

We lost because we had a bunch of washed up has beens in the side. But some of you are too [removed]ing stupid to comprehend this very fact.
The old side let us down as a unit as they are past it and got run off their feet and brains.

So we lost this game purely and only because we fielded the most capped Bok side ever, and with most caps, obviously comes most aged and experienced players.
So, with this theory of yours, we will never win another world cup game, because two things are certain:
1) We lost to Japan because of these crappy washed up has been old players (Your theory)
2) Their ages won't change before the end of this world cup (Too old - Your Theory)
So... with this theory of yours, if Japan can beat these old players because age, and age alone lost us the game, because they got run off their feet, and the side stays similar to what it was , we will not win another game?

I do not share this story about the age, reputation and experience of players should be a reason for non-selection.  Any of the above three factors must however, be combined with performance.   
There are younger players whose performance is below par - eg Frans Steyn - and whereas age and experience is not a factor in his case - lack of performance makes him not selectable.
Where I draw a line is when the elderly players do NOT PERFORM - but are purely selection on the basis of experience and reputation.   There are way too many of those in the Springbok squad and in that category I added those players who had minimal game time over the past year and essentially this year.   On that basis none of De Villiers, Pietersen, Kirchner, Morne Steyn, Pienaar, Du Preez, Alberts, Matfield, Jannie du Plessis,  and Coenie should be in the squad.
Ther highlighted players are in the list because of minimal if any rugby this past year - while the rest are poor in performance for a variety of reasons.   Fact is Meyer picked the team on reputation/experience and not on actual performance of players - a deadly mistake on his part. 
   

 Bullshit Coenie and Kriel did not lose us the game....the geriatric team as a whole lost us the game.
Any Bok side should have been 50 points ahead with 5 min to go...but thanks to Meyers pathetic selections we could not get away from Japan....how fucking insulting is that and testament to how piss poor Meyer is....and to think some profoundly stupid idiots still think Meyer is the right mam for the job.
We have all been going on for months bar an ignorant few as to how poor Meyer is. No - one in their wildest dreams could have imagined he would have ever taken us this low.

I would not drop Du Toit - I will get rid of the real lock-disaster - the misfit Matfield and let Du Toit freer to really play as a flank.  He would be 10 times better in wider play than Matfield could ever be at this stage of his career.
However, in your dimness you want De Jager out and retain Matfield - which I would rate as the most stupid selection by Meyer this year.  That would be a real achievement - since Meyer specialized in real BS selection over the past year.     

Steph has done nothing at senior level except collect boo-boos, which makes him more frail than Bekker. 

Fox stop speaking shit....PSDT upstaged useless Alberts the last time Alberts played. He is twice the player. The kid is a Bok legend in the making much like Etzebeth is.
PSDT is a lock who can do a job at 7 much like the impressive Jacques du Plessis can. Alberts is one of many Meyer yesterday's men.

Nice stats Truth, we are told that Morné kills backline play, yet every team he plays for is successful and contends for titles. He has the second highest points average in Bok rugby history, has broken world, Bok and Super rugby records. He has won every trophy he has competed for except the World Cup, and been central to high try scoring teams at Both the Bulls and the Boks. 
Lambie's record doesn't compare. 

 Balls as per normal from Desert Disaster.  He praises Alberts - who never had a good game in years - matter of fact he was the worst loosie in SA year after year for the past three years,  Other than Matfield - he is the worst reputation player ever playing since 2012.  He suffers constantly from fat strains and has had only 3 games since June 2014.  In all three games he failed miserably and was a waste of space.   What he does in the Springbok squad is a mystery to all but the confused Meyer.    

No DA as much as it's obvious our side is too old and past its sell by date I am not saying we will lose to USA and Samoa....however what I am saying is that if that same side plays in the QF we will lose.
The side that played Japan is too old and is not good enough to beat another side that makes the QFs.
Japan just exposed them for what they are.

 Back to topic and OP statement. The RWC too soon for the Boks? Would it have been better if Matfield was 40 already? Meyer knew the date and time of the kick-off when he took the job. Whatever the reason, it's not because it's too soon. Grabbing at straws and cady-floss to try and excuse a poor succession policy. Anything but conceding that some naive errors were made! Good luck with that kind of philosophy going forward in life.

Nowhere did we had a  22 run win from 24 matches played during that period.   Morne was pathetic in 2012 and was dropped after the Dunedin test.  In 2013 - Meyer's  best year as a coach - we lost only in 2 games against the AB's in both of which Morne started.  In 2014 Morne was even worse - he was dropped after playing two tests in June and only started in 1 RC test - where we lost as well.    He never started in any test after the Perth fiasco - where he personally caused a loss by the Springboks.  Morne's record since 2012 was

The sad truth is that Meyer "f#cked" up his team selection so badly that we will all end up crying.   The old farts that lost their ability to perform (Alberts never had any in any event) in rugby is the real disg race.
