"The extension has been implemented to allow universities across the country the opportunity to address various challenges faced at their respective campuses.
This follows riots which erupted in Bloemfontein on February 22 - after protesting workers disrupted the game between the University of the Free State (Shimlas) and the Nelson Mandela Metropole University (Madibaz) by moving onto the pitch.
"The well-being and safety of all students and those attending and participating in our events remains of the utmost importance," Varsity Cup CEO, Duitser Bosman said.
The Board will meet weekly to review and monitor the developments at the various universities before any matches resume."
It is a major disappointment when a small group of riotous anarchists - often enough not students pr workers at University - keep all Universities in chaos and destroy facilities and even art works of huge value.
When they entered the grounds last Saturday the leader of the protestors attacked a female student and she was seriously injured. They then ran onto the ground and when onlookers took action to get rid of them a fight erupted and some of the protestors were injured and helped from the field by some of the students.
Since then the whole university system is virtually in flames and in studies at some universities have reached a near dead end.
When the country is in such a state that sportsmen cannot play their games and the specta tors cannot have the pleasure of watching them - it is clear that the country is been ruined by anarchistic elements that need to be destroyed in the interest of the country.
