Three things we learned from the All Blacks' 19-27 loss to the Wallabies last night in Sydney.

1 - The All Blacks are human

After months of looking like they have ice running through their veins, the All Blacks looked fallible last night. If it wasn't Brodie Retallick throwing dreadful passes in the backline or Dan Carter missing touch with penalty, it was Sonny Bill Williams knocking on or Aaron Smith making a head high tackle and being pondorous on the ball.

They still played with intensity but lacked the cohesion and fluency we have come to know and love about this side. This All Blacks side seemed to have learned how to win under pressure -their record has been exemplary - but they made uncharacteristic errors and missed too many tackles. If nothing else, a good wakeup call.

2 - The Wallabies most definitely shouldn't be written off at the World Cup

The All Blacks might have been scratchy but some of that was down to Australia. They might be ranked fifth in the world and have been drawn in the same pool as England and Wales at next month's World Cup, meaning progression to the quarter-finals isn't guaranteed, but they are still dangerous.

They harried the All Blacks into mistakes with their rushing defence and often put the visitors under pressure. They even coped when down to 14 men on two occasions after prop Sekope Kepu was sinbinned early in the contest and Nick Phibbs was marched in the second spell.

3 - The new boys continue to shine

The All Blacks selectors have an amazing knack of not only integrating newbies but also picking them at the right time. Last night Nehe Milner-Skudder shone on debut. He was dangerous from open play, making four clean breaks, and scored two tries.

 Congrats to Claydog, big win & Ozz showed they are a contender for the RWC. Big wakeup call for the ABs.

New Zealand have been looking vulnerable recently. I don't think Hansen has been a steady hand at the helm. There is the possibility of a Wallaby uprising. 

 3 things we have learned.
1. Carter is well past it. Cull Carter from the RWC Squad. Cant kick if his life depended on it.
2. Romano should also be culled. Too many chances and he still gives his usual subpar performance.
3. Skudder definitely in.

Carter had always been an iffy kicker, but he is still a genera. Personally, I think Cruden should have been fully backed to succeed Carter. The battle between him and Barrett is an interesting one, but I truly believe Cruden is the more dynamic 10 over Barrett's speed.

There are too many reputation players in the AB team.  That could cost them dearly in the WC.   You need experienced players - but that is not the only thing to look out for.  Performance remains a key.   
I think the problem lies in fact that the Tight 5 is defective and then you get their center combination - not the best anymore.

Ozzies should have moved up the world rankings, does this mean the Boks are not number 2 anymore?

New Zealand uses their tight 5 differently to us, they always have. Defective is a matter of perspective, and I don't think they share your view.

Pap tight five of abs is their biggest problem.mediocre loose trio is next problem. Center combo not performing is next issue. The huge bubble has burst. Ask yourselves this. How many tests do the abs actually deserve to win. Bwahahahaha!!! But lets not be too hard on shell shocked kbbs.
