I understand where Becs is coming from.

You have a person slogging away at some job that may benefit humanity and for his commitment and long hours he's paid poorly ... while some brain dead moron with a grade 5 gets paid masses of money playing a silly, meaningless game for 80 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

Just doesn't seem fair.

That's life for you.

Its all crazy to be sure.  Perhaps the UK needs a new party with some common sense.
The British have lost their bearings and have become largely pagan.

Oh that is not actually my main point here, CC ( Happy Christmas, by the way  ) I only answered the points about earnings re other lines of work because they were raised to me.
My main points are that the game cannot sustain these levels of obscenity in wages, nor should they, and that Clubs will fold...starting from the Grass Roots up.
As we all profess to love this game, why should we be happy with this ludicrous state of affairs ? Why should we not make comment and say that, in the first instance, we do not believe the players are actually worth this money ? That they are amply paid already and renumerated in many other ways so they should just be very grateful ? And that most of them would never earn this amount of money in a lifetime, in any other line of work, so they should also be grateful for that ! Their greed is in danger of wrecking this game, and the livelihood of many.Maybe they should try and think about something other than their own bank balances and a few pathetic Selfies for once in their lives !!!

Well, it must have been an old show or the wrong side of Notting Hill !! 800 pounds wouldn't really get you much these days !!
Crikey, things don't come cheap in this country, Beeno !
