here is the leaf village bingo book of the All Blacks top 2 threats in the 2015 RWC,,,

1) wallabies
the wallabies RWC preparation in 2015 has been IMO perfect.

the test match vs USA two weeks before their first pool match, meant the players had been held in good match fitness steed.
players like mumm who had little gametime were given just that, chekias squad management has been world class.

during the IRC, the wallabies were very competitive upfront with their set pieces, only time will tell though if it was just a run of the mill fluke, but those questions will answered with their tests vs england and wales.
if i was a betting man, i would bet on the yellow peeps to come through with flying colours.

their backline has always been class, the best backline in the world after the All Blacks, so no issues there.

their backrow is something really special though, that poc0ck hooper combo makes the breakdowns a real area of concern for any team facing the wallys.

ive been watching the pool of death very closely, and im kind of hoping the english and welsh do us a favour and send the wallys home during the pool stages, lolz.

in a RWC grand final, i would prefer the All Blacks to face any team before the wallys, cos cheikas got something cooking on the barby, and it aint no shrimp.

2) Boks
japan didnt do any Bok opponent any favours after beating them in what is now known as the greatest upset in world rugby.

i liken the Boks to a wounded wild animal whose backed into a corner and fighting for its life (life metaphorically their pride).
they have a lot to prove and now more than any other team have an incentive that goes beyond RWC champion motivation, redemption.

when a team is that motivated, miracles have a way of showing up and help defy the odds, even with dead weights like meyer, matfield, du preez, pienaar, f louw, s brits, w alberts, m styen doing their best to derail the Boks campaign.

i cannot see any other team posing any real threat to the All Blacks.
these are the two teams who IMO pose the biggest threat to the All Blacks, the other teams from around the world will challenge us, but its a challenge that the All Blacks since the beginning of rugby time have conquered.

The Irish look pretty good also. The Boks improved in their last game but to convince me they will have to play well against the kilted ones - I think they will but let's see.

I would also worry about the French - one never knows with those buggers.
The problem is that England - if they lose tomorrow against the Wallabies will eb out of the Tournament.
The NH Quarters teams are likely to be Scotland, Ireland, Wales and France.  I would not break my head about Scotland and Wales - the other two could be problematic.

Hey Naru agree mostly. I Think another team Ireland look competitive too. Aussie though I think are NZ biggest threat, on their day can beat NZ. Obviousley last time NZ smashed them by 40, but be different if they face again. Half of me wants Aussie to win, as the idea of England being knocked out of their own world cup is to funny for words . But the other half of me, knows Aussie could be a threat, so wants England to win. I think NZ well face France in the QF, as I think Ireland well beat France.

Sas beware of the Boks but only if we can rely on Matfield staying injured for the duration.

It would help our cause if we lost Jannie and Louw along the way

A Bok side of:

15. Wilie 14. JP 13. Kriel/de Allende 12. de Allende/Serf 11. Habana/Kriel 10. Pollard/Lambie 9. du Preez 1. Beast/Nyakane 2. Bismark/Strauss 3. Malherbe/Coenie 4. Etzebeth 5. Lood/PSDT 6. Schalk/Kolisi 7. PSDT/Schalk 8. Vermeulen is a pretty handy one

The Goats were put to the sword by a 3rd tier team.

They then faced a pathetic Samoan side and now we're a threat to the All Blacks.

Give me a break.

It would be quite something if the Goats won the WC ... especially with all their talent playing Currie Cup rugby back home.

Before the tournament I put Ireland and the AB as the main favs to play the final and I still mantain it. Both are going to top their pools and both are the stronger teams in each branch leading to the final.

In the other pools, it's quite clear that boks are going to top theirs. They are going to face a Scotland B-side more interested in resting players than fighting for the first spot of the pool. Besides their motivation and the need of avoiding a yet bigger embarrasment than the suffered losing against Japan will make them beat the Scottish (easily IMO) and top their pool.

The biggest incognita remains in the pool A. Anything could happen there but too many interest and money are involved, IMO the most probable scenario will be that England will beat the aussies and top the pool. Otherwise England would be eliminated wich would mean big money losses, audience losses,...
The QF would be, as expected before the WC started:

England-Scotland
Ireland-Argentina

New Zealand-France
South Africa-Australia

An aussie win on saturday will make things a lot more easy for the boks who would have to face a very weakened Wales instead of Australia (who would be in the other branch facing Scotland) .

From the QF on, both Australia and SA will be afected by their weak points.
Australia's main defect IMO is that they don't have a established 9-10 pair and hardly will establish one during this WC. Genia and Foley have been out of form for the whole season, Nick Phipps don't know passing (which is the main task of a scrumie) and Toomua doesn't know kicking (his last game against the AB was disastrous) and then we have Cooper able of the best and the worst but who use to reserve the worst for the important matches.
Their tight 5 still remains far from the bests, specially their props and locks. Simmons and Douglas though being good are far from Whitelock-Retallick, Etzebeth-Lood or O'Connell-Henderson. Same applies for Kepu-Sio.
Another important weakness is their captain. Moore is too impulsive, during the RC he was involved in every quarrel and he was constantly complaining to the refs which ended up irritating the refs, the worst thing a captain can do.

But SA is in a worst situation, they have weak points all over the team. Their coach is way too conservative and his building of the team the last 4 years has been IMO disastrous. His bet for the old guard has been so unconditional that he has not develope the needed back-ups.
It was a huge mistake to try to play JdV no matter what. He had an almost carreer-ending injury, spent the last year sidelined, no gametime at all for recovering any form and on top of all he lost 7-8 kg. the last month coz he had to be nourished only by liquids,....... it was completely imposible that he could be at the required level to compete in a WC but meanwhile he was given a precious gametime that could otherwise be given to the pair de Allende-Kriel to develop their partnership and their defensive skills. Now they have an inexperienced pair of centers with many, and big, question marks over their defense.
Pollard is green and has been out of form for the whole season. One decent match against a disastrous Samoa doesn't change anything.
FdV has been for a while playing the soft japanese rugby, his fitness is a mistery but the most probable thing is that he won't be able to endure the rythm of a WC, and mainly the finals.
JP Petersen and Habana are out of form and long ago past their best. Le Roux is capable of the best and the worst having a good game evry 2-3 matches.
And the forward pack is not in their best, thanx mainly to the old guard. Jannie, Mtawarira, Matfield and Louw are also past their best being some of them a burden for the team.
It's possible that none of these weaknesses surface in one match or two but very improbable that they don't surface in the whole tournament and against the stronger teams.

Our hopes rely on Fourie Dupreez keeping fit and Willie Leroux getting into top form. Leroux was average by his standards last week- but he still was very effective.
These are 2 of the smartest tacticians in world rugby.
Habana and JP were full of running getting some good ball for once. Our backline looked good last week in the 2nd half- albeit by that time Samoa were chasing the game and then their defence fell apart.
JP appeared to have lost it- but getting 3 tries in one match against a decent Samoa was great to see. Also he does have pace- he just has a lazy running style.

Nothing wrong with this Bok side as selected for Scotland. Best selection for some time. It would be a real surprise if they lost to the hapless all blacks. We  definitely superior in our last meeting (with an iferior amtch 23) and only cheating by mcaaaw and red zone infringments saved them.
Also we had no bench to speak of so the match 23 is  better although unfortunately some good players are not here.
The Oz backline is better than the wee abs. Carter is over the hill and conrad makes up the numbers. Mother Nonu is not what he was and whoever plays fullback is fairly ordinary. The real question is are the hapless wee abs genuine contenders. Can you win a world cup with a pap pack? With a backline that can be contained. Heck some rookie Bok backs were better than them!
Its a big balloon justing waiting to be popped. Old man woodie woodcock and the lacklustre mcaaw, mealamu etc Pack is pretty pap (EG whitelock, Read etc) so really there is no reason apart from bent refs for the wee abs to win. Will a bent ref see them through yet again? We shall see.
Those criting Louw simply dont know how to evaluate his contribtion against Samoa. He was very good.

Beeno giving the chest beating blowhard kbbs some perspective!

I must say its nice to hear the hapless wee abs being booed by the crowd. They are not a well liked side. Too much deviousness about them. Mcaaaw was roundly booed when he left the field after his yellow. Its all catching up with them!!

Typical beeno,, doesent have a intillgent opinion to offer. So relies on same old, abs pap forwards, or bent refs. Mccaws in the form of his life, and been one the outstanding forwards of the wc, i know your in.denial about that. But whatever happens lesst abs lose to Japan   D
