Moz I do hope ou snapster is getting a clue regsrding Louw's contribution.
You of course need understand and take off your blunkers re Lood.
What these stats highlight is the disaterous gameplan of Meyer whereby we kick away.our possession and spend our time in exhausting defence. A superb illustration of the consequences of Meyers dom rugby
The 4 forwarfs.mentioned were aling with a slightly sub par Vermuelen the outstanding forwards of theRWC.
Could a single wee ab forward mske the Bok pack? The answer is NO.
Our big big problem wad Meyers DOM.rugby plan.

You have to have a superb pack to attempt such a fruitless gameplan.

Well HasBeen when I see Lomp in my mind's eye I don' t see him making a tackle.....I see Kaino relocating his tonsils with a firm handoff. If Louw got better in the knockouts, Lomp faded away.
And yes we did kick away too much ball. Take the Bargie game we defended from the moment Matfield left the park. We seem to be unable to run with confidence from the back....the best back threes run to their support...we seem to run towards the gaps....that only works if you take them.

Your minds eye is what you pretend to see - what you don't want to see does not exist at all. What you entirely missed is what Etzebeth said how he enjoys playing with De Jager becuase he tries to match him tackle for tackle in any game they played in. That they enjoyed playing together in matches,
O yes - a player making 14 tackles in a match in 60 minutes played faded away in the end against the AB's. BS in buckets. that means something like a tackle every 4,3 minutes on average. Etzebeth's average was a tackle in every 5 minutes. Matfield's average in the same game was a tackle in every 6,6 minutes.
That indeed looks like fading away to you - but not to anybody else.
