There are six contenders for the International Rugby Players' Association Try of the Year for 2015. We take a look at them.

New Zealand's Julian Savea has two tries on the short list, while Vincent Debaty of France, Welsh flanker Justin Tipuric, Tonga's Fetu'u Vainikolo and Japanese superstar Aymu Goromaru also feature.

The award will be decided by a panel of former players that consists of the All Blacks' Christian Cullen, South Africa's Stefan Terblanche, Serge Betsen of France and Ireland's Shane Horgan. The winner will be announced at the World Rugby Awards in London on November 1.  

"We have been lucky enough to witness some fantastic tries during 2015 and these tries are testament to rugby's character-building values of teamwork and enjoyment and I am looking forward to seeing who the Awards' guests will give the honour of scoring the IRPA Try of the Year 2015 to," said Bernard Lapasset, the Chairman of World Rugby.

I make it out of Vainikolo and Gorumaru.

 hope they don't mess up like they did last year selecting an illegal try after a blatant forward pass.

I would go for Goromaru's, reflects how rugby should be played, as a team, with speed and combinations.

Yes, Goromaru's was the best team try while Vainikolo's was the best individual try.

 The Bus looked pretty good running over those three Frenchmen

 Yes but Matfield would've scored the best try of the year if Ayoub hadn't incorrectly pinged him for a neck wringing tackle. He would have burst through the AB pack, fended off 5 backs and scored under the bar to propel the Boks into the Final. This according to the Old Testament "Book of Looney Hasbeenos" Chapter 5, verses 1-12.......

Tipuric's for me.
Team try with several well timed passes/ good support play, and not from a set move.

If you could combine the two Savea tries ...... Carter's brilliant offload and then three defenders steamrolled ..... that would be the winner for sure.

 
My vote goes to the last try Japan scored against the Goats.

Shan't forget it ... ever ... pure brilliance.
