I would rather have a "hard" lock working hard in the Tight 5 than Matfield.   The Bulls on paper has a good team - but they fell flat in the Tight 5 and that is their main problem.   Their scrumming is putrid and their driving mauls virtually non-existent - so where does the problem lies.   
Matfield was never a tough player among the Tight 5 - Bakkies did his share plus in that Department.   The Bulls made a huge mistake in keeping  Matfield and letting go of Willemse.  
If Matfield did his work in the line-outs - his specialist function of the past - then I could live with it - but he does not and that is a fact.   Taking the number of line-outs he took in recent matches  is way below par.  If he is not good enough in line outs anymore and he cannot be a factor physically in the Tight 5 - of what real value is he in the team?    

 mat5filed was again pathetic. He tackles Bissie from behind from an offside position when Bissie did not have the ball!wee matfiled should have yellow carded and the bulle would not have missed the twit.
He does nothing in the lineouts and and completely disappears in the game. Away with the show pony!!
Sharks need a second lock that black guys was ineffective and looks physically pap. His work in the lineout was non existent as well.wee matfiled celebrated lineout steal (nevermind the ione he lost of course) was a consequence of a poor throw in. 
Nope matfiled is not club rugby standard and should retire immediately. Its a total disgrace the way he manages to cling on to a spot with the bulle and has Meyer under his thumb.
Secondly matfiled didnt win the game for the bulle the crooked TMO did and the ref made a number of bad callls aand penalties favouring the bulle. Disgusting stuff. I almost turned the tennis on but felt honour bound to keep my good friend JW company.   Its terrible when this happens as even one incident allows oaks like brycy to think we are like them!
Drop Spies as well a useless player with no heart. These two twits are keeping out players like Liebenberg and Hattingh who at least contribute.

 Beano, that Hattingh, is he the same fella that lost a try & the game for his Boole cos he needed to stretch his arm out to cushion his fall when dropping over the tryline ?

 B ob lets not be a smartie pants please. At least Grant was there to score and missed by a centimetre!!! He probably misjudged how close he was to the tryline.
matfield is the weakest "lock" in the country. Name me a more pap lock. Nobody can its impossible.
