Waterboy Messam gets off lightly (again.....)

Messam will no doubt retain his impeccable record in the game- so in his next offence he will be acquitted again.
He has been practising his chokeholds on the water bottles.

The All Blacks have been fined AUS$2 000 (US$1468, NZ$2225) after Liam Messam left the sideline to join an on-field scuffle during last Saturday's test against Australia in Auckland.

Sanzar, the governing body for the test, slapped the fine on New Zealand on Tuesday after reviewing television footage of the incident.

Messam, who was not part of the match-day squad against Australia, was acting as a waterboy for the All Blacks when he stepped into the fray about 30 minutes into the game in an apparent attempt to worsen a fight.

"Under tournament rules, water carriers are not permitted within the playing enclosure while the match is in progress," the Sanzar ruling said, describing Messam's offence as a breach of protocol.

New Zealand Rugby chief executive Steve Tew said the All Blacks acknowledged their fault and accepted the fine.

"I have made it clear to the All Blacks team management that it was a mistake we cannot repeat," Tew said.

 Funny how the Stormers were fined more than ten times that much when some of their sideline staff allegededly chirped the assistant reff a bit. Last year was it? 

Yes itd hysterical Draad. The biggest scandal in rugby is the consistently favourable treatment of the wee abs by refs!! Cliudy I did not watch the lasy nz/ Oz game as Oz were clearly pulling a fast one.
