....too many soft Bok caps....no team loyalty. We reinvent the team far too much, although in fairness injuries have played a role. HM is being swayed by the popular press, but he can never give them enough. Jake eschewed all the BS and PdV was dominated by the senior players, so the team was a constant. Neither coach would have effectively demoted Etzebeth's role in favour of a newbie like Lomp. Is there discontent in the Bok camp? It would not surprise me,

Like I said in 2012 and many times since, Meyer does not have the strength of character to do what he knows is right under pressure. Jake stuck to his guns because he knew he was right and the fans and media were stupid and/or biased! He was vindicated time and again.

In other words ... "I Mozart admit that I was wrong about the coach and all his random selections"

"I confess that I'm a clueless fool and apologize for the many heated debates I've had in my defense of the coach and his elderly selections"

"Please forgive me ... I am old and the brain doesn't work as it should any longer ..."

"In future, do not take anything I have to say seriously as I no longer have the ability to sift through all the jumbled mess I find running through my head.

"It's all so very confusing"

"Once again ... I sincerely apologize for being such a twat and such a fool ..."

"If you all think that I should rather leave the board then please say so ... "

"Think I'll go have me a little lie down now ... I'm suddenly exhausted"

Be kind to Mozart - don't spell out his contributions on this site too clearly.   He is an old fool - I grant you that - who thinks that the players of the past is the answer at present.
He goes into personal attack tirades whenever anybody queries "his wisdom".   I loved the way he quoted the stats of De Villiers yesterday - but refused to acknowledge the atrocious stats of Fransie, because his presence  in the team is all that counts.   Dear Fransie somehow frightens the Sh!t out of players by his presence in the team - h needs to do zero - he is to eb there is Mozart's frightening tool.  .
When Mozart says anything - assume the exact opposite as happening in reality.

HM started the rot when he sacked Morne last year.......since then he has increasingly tried to be "popular" in his selections. Why was Stephanie back this weekend when  his last game for the Boks was as a 13 minute sub in France in 2013? Given he has played 40 minutes since a significant injury?

That is a totally indulgent selection, lauded by the SA rugby press and foolsih fans. It didn't hurt us, the damage was done, but that kid was miles from ready and has always been a massively hyped player.

I think HM is a solid coach and technically very sound. But the drum-beat in SA is loud, vicious and thick. I am hoping this loss gives HM the courage to ignore the drums of ignorance and follow his instincts.

The reason White's RWC win was so unloved in SA is because he stuffed it right down the critics throat....HM should do the same.

Well the comments on Morne Steyn is typical - he can make balls-up after balls-up and Meyer's replacement of him is because of public pressure.
Then the standard attack on Du Toit's selections - but what was the option?  Flip[pie was a liability and Matfield is pretending to be injured - so what must be done?
Every one is thick - but the standard BS by some on this site indicates the thickest stupidity that was in evidence on this site ever.  The players blamed for the loss are the experienced players in that side.   8 of the experienced players were either poor or very poor in execution and the blame is put on Du Toit - who played for 20 minutes.
What is wanted by some is the return of the poorest players imaginable as if they would add value.   All of Alberts, Fransie, Morne, Matfield and Du Preez are all way past test level and Alberts, Fransie and Morne has been sh!t poor in Super 15 or in tests.  Matfield has no grunt and the idiot wants to replace De Jager with him   Du preez has not played any rugby for 5 months - is not going to play anything before the WC and would nto alst 1`5 minutes in the game if he is to play next week.
Meyer buggered up by keeping selections failed players and not build up a reasonable squad for the WC - that is his failing.  Now all is panic stations and he must play inexperienced players.  They get the blame for balls-ups, while the fault actually lies with the reputation players selected by Meyer.

Actually, attacks on Morne are largely baseless. Balls up after balls up does not happen. But his replacements have fared so much worse. "Play Lambie and we will score bucket loads of tries": In nearly seven years it hasn't matertialized at any level of the game.

Wrong - we are back to 1965.  Four countries played - four losses.  Straueli never reached that a low.  I keep whatever Avatar I want to keep.

None is as blind as him who refuses to see - you refuse to see Morne's deficiencies and nothing I or anybody else write will convince you that his only asset in fact is his kicking at goal - for the rest he is a crap club player.
I have given you a list of some of Morne's regular disasters and you came up with endless denials and excuses.
I will keep my avatar.  I suppose you want to change it to Morne and Mozart to Matfield of Fransie, but I do not want an avatar reflecting poor rugby performance - so Du Toit stays.

Your empty brainbox cannot understand that the last time we lost four tests in a row was in 1965 or do you fail to understand that? Whoosh.

The last time we lost four tests in a row was 2010. We lost 5 in 2006. 4 in a 2000. 4 in 1999. 4 in a row from 1972s only test to the first three of 1974, with the final game of 1974 being a draw. No tests in 1973.

I did not put it clearly - the losses in 1965 were against four different countries - in none of those years mentioned 4 different countries was involved.  Sorry about being vague and thanks for the disastrous information anyway.   Meyer did not entirely covered himself in glory - now did he?
In the last 7  tests played we only won two - so our winning percentage was 28,6% - huge achievement by our illustrious coach - now was it ?

Its simple, Meyer is a piss poor coach who has absolutely no idea what he is doing and anyone who things he is the man for the job, is a complete idiot.

Who would be stupid enough to break up a centre combo the world over is talking about in the name of given his washed up slow captain a run out of position at 13.

Not to mention ignoring the credentials of Faf de Klerk as an option at 9. Instead he plays Reinach off the bench who has not played rugby in months. My guess is that Faf has not got the call because he does not know the Bok system - that is how pathetically narrow minded useless Meyer is.

Wake the fuck up......Meyer is the issue - cant select, cant coach and his player management skills are a big fat ZERO

You want a take on the view of Meyer - go read the Facebook comments
