The guys tried hard yesterday, but we are a long way from the iron defence of 2007. The Boks cut off the outside effectively in that era. Yesterday there was no push forward from the centres....just a string of forwards and backs with no defensive leadership. Nobody balanced resources open and blindside. Nobody effectively brought up the defensive line.
Yesterday wasn't a failure of attack, of goal kicking....I was a failure to keep the ball and a catastrophic failure of defensive nous in the last 14 minutes.
