 the better won.

That said, whither the clown who said the Boks would lose by 20....or was he hoping they'd lose by as much!?

The scoreline is not that bad considering how the Boks were crippled with injuries. The below from SS...

"Meyer lamented the number of injuries that dogged his team in the match. All of Jannie du Plessis, Vincent Koch, Lood de Jager and Francois Louw were invalided off to disrupt the Springbok pack and resulted in uncontested scrums being called by the referee, Jerome Garces."

Things could easily have been different in both Tests....there is plenty to wish for going into the WC.

To me De Jager was great, our kicking was much better, Pienaar had his best game in yonks, our scrum was good but our lineout was a mess.

The starting lineup is taking shape.

Thanks Denny, it was a good game, especially the first 40 mins. It went so fast I could barely type on the thread for the live chat & banter. It's worth watching more than once even if your team did not get the final result they wanted on the scoreboard.
Some very good attacking rugby and the lose forwards and Bismark gave us all we could handle and more.

Credit where credit is due.
However I cant see how the All Blacks were the better team on the day when we had the lead for most of the match.
Were it not for cynical fouls we could potentially have put the game out of reach in the first half.
When they All Blacks were finally penalised- we had to have no content scrums against a scrum without a lock.

Congrates AB's.I'm with you Denny 100%. Credit, where credit is due. We can go on and on about what happened and could have happened, but I for one am the most optimistic I have been in ages that the Boks can in fact give it a good shot at the RWC. I think Faf has to be at least on the bench against the Argies and we have to see what Alberts can bring to the party (Hopefully his best of the early years). We need a big ball carrier capable of playing 2nd and back row.If the AB's were to lose Retalik or Whitelock I think they would be in some real strife.Once again Congrats to the AB's for playing a full 80 mins.

BWAHAHAHAHA OU DENNY GETS IT ALL WRONG AGAIN.
The abs last try was illegal. Thy outsmarted nobody - the did what they typically do. CHEAT.
Huge egg on Denny and other doff BOk "Supporters" - eg AJ who thinks Boks were outsmarted.
Beeno setting the record STRAIGHT

MonsterBok: Savea will probably play in the next game. The back-line will most likely include SBW and maybe Fekitoa as they both need a run. As C. Smith needs more game time Fekitoa may come off the bench. Milner-Scudder also needs game time. We are in for a cracker if this unfolds.
Kaplan's view & that of our good mate Bryce Lawrence are included in this link.

Other ref's view of "the" lineout

Monsterbok given your agreement with ou denny (the bow and scrape) that the better side won (which is total nonsense as even mallet noted), how about dropping the bok bit and just calling yourself monster!!
Agree re Faf though monster.
Bluebok everyone knows the try was illegal. End of story. A planned bit of cheating.Note also Sharkboks comments. Spot on by the Shark! Saffex gets it right as well.
BlueBok could you also drop the Bok part and simply be blue.
Those wanting to be Bok supporters must deserve the name.
Thanks

Could everyone note where nz is looking for an objective ref view:
Former international referee Bryce Lawrence has backed French referee Jerome Garces after a South African rugby writer claimed Garces was wrong to award Richie McCaw's match-winning try in Sunday's defeat of the Springboks.

This complete twit is the son of the Lawrence who wrote the get the jarpy letter to Oz refs!!! ( The idea here is for Oz and Nz to eliminate Sa and then fight for the spoils thereafter!!)He then put on the most disgraceful reffing exhibition ever seen to hand the quarter final match to Oz. As a reward he was made nz ref of the year. I kid you not. Fortunately the IRB realsied what had happened and booted him and compatriot Paddy O'Brien out!Possibly the most disgraceful episode ever to taint the game of rugby.
This is the man nz turn to to explain away the Cheat to win the Ellis P ark test.BWAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA THE KBBS GET MORE ABSURD BY THE MOMENT!

Yes MonsterBok: wee Beeno cannot be as thick as he pretends
This board is enriched by his flights of lunacy & connecting of dots as only he can do. Keep up the good work Beeno, you have our full support

Beans you bumb@ss!!! So because I can be objective I am not a Bok supporter? So what if they planned that move! Richie may have been offside, but so was Bizzie! Saying "everyone knows the try was illegal. End of story." does not change the fact that Bismarck was also offside! Also, I think the Boks were the better team on the day, but they could not keep it together for the full 80 mins. The AB's took advantage of that fact! Did the ref get some calls wrong? Probably, but when don't they? You need to see the wood for the tree!

The blood that runs through my veins is green with a tinge of gold as I'm an Stralian citizen now and have been for 15 yrs. Iv'e tried with zero effect to embrace the Wallabies with the same passion I have for the Boks even through this "Quota" BS.Like Cloudy, I love rugby, not an expert, but I love the game.We can moan about what ifs all day long but we all need to look in the mirror and say, did we do our best, did we take the right options, did we capitalize on the opportunities presented to us. If the answer is yes, it's very likely you'll come out a winner.I want the Boks to be No 1 in the world and win the RWC as much as any of you want your respective teams to win. To be No 2 with the BS and politics in RSA is unbelievable. Any other nations with similar headaches ?????O, Beeno I charge $50/hr for counselling but you gotta bring your own tissues dude, I not going to fund that expense.

I agree that the Boks played the better rugby if you consider the full 80+ minutes, even Hansen says so. Hansen also says the Boks are improving & are on the right track. Does this mean he is not an All Black supporter? Of course not.
As Cloudy wisely says we can admire the performance of other players & teams without being disloyal.
Still, the board would be very bland if we didn't have a few extreme views.

Glad we are all invited, which one is wee Beeno?
