Lets be blunt and deal with the various candidates supported on this site:-

Not suitable for selection

Juan de Jongh

Francois Steyn

Willem Alberts

Victor Matfield

Jannie du Plessis

Potential Candidates

Cheslin Kolbe

Lionel Mapoe

Jan Serfontein

Damian de Allende

Handre Pollard

Faf de Klerk

Duane Vermeulen

Warren Whiteley

Jaco Kriel

Eben Etzebeth

Frans Malherbe

Bismarck du Plessis

Steven Kitshoff

The players mentioned as not suitable for selection were subpar in numerous aspects of the game, while those mentioned as potential candidates were in fact good performers.  Most of the other potential candidates were average to above average in performances and some (like Schalk Burger at 6) is not a candidate for that position at all.  He should in fact play at 7.

Willem and Juan might not make it but the rest will make the Boks RWC Team

Michael doesn't enjoy success for the Boks. He was more happy with the disastrous EOYT last year than the long 22 game run where they only lost twice and scored lots of tries. So long as the players he hates are out of the team he is happy, not matter what. In fact , I'm starting to wonder if he isn't Komphela in disguise.

Lestat might have a point Mike - What if the Team you pick gets on but they still lose then who do we blame?

As long as the best selection is done - I would be happy since losses are unlikely .  If they select the duds and we lose I will be unhappy.  Unlike Letsal I rate the players on performance - not daydreams.

You apparently do not realise even what I wrote about.  I was dealing with the players who had dud performances thus far this season - but you do not realize the difference between dud performances and acceptable performances.
You assign performance credits to duds - I don't.   I am always happy if the BEST players are selected - whether the Springboks win or lose.  When they have duds the Springboks will lose.   The losses last year in the EOYT came about because we lost our competitiveness up front with the main problem being we tried to play a Tight 4 combination - rather than a Tight 5 combination.  Matfield was awfully inadequate in both games we lost - that is a fact.
