There can be no doubt about the following:-

1.   That Kitshoff is by some distance the best loose-head prop in SA at present

2.   That Koch is a top class tight-head by far better than Jannie du Plessis.

3.   That Etzebeth is coming back to form and a very good lock.

4.   That Burger had an exceptional game as a 7

5.   That De Allende is by some distance the best no 12 in SA at present.

Three other aspects were also clear.   The first one is the fact that Juan de Jongh was not there to destroy the Stormers backline and that he was not missed and should not play at 13 in future.   The second problem I still have with Kolbe is that he is all heart - but physically too small and comparatively weak to play at full-back.  The third one is that Kolisi was virtually invisible and his selection was a huge mistake - the Stormers loosies should have been Vermeulen (8), Rhodes (7) and Burger (6).

Cant fault what you say Mike. What a HUGE improvemnet Rhodes was for kolisi. Bongwi appears to have more fight in him than Scurra.Give burger more game time by staRTING HIM. CARR IS YOUR RESERVE LOSSIE.
Jean Kleyn and Botha must start before Carrisa.
I would play Huw Jones, Jonny Kotze as starters.
The problem is fullback. Who can we play there. Have Cheslin on the bench? He will find the gaps later in a game? How is Taute coming along? Should we stick with Cheslin at 15?
Oh what would we give now for a Pollard who should be playing for us!
The cold facts are the Stormers were by some way the better team. However how good are the blowhards really. Lions also chewed them up.
The kbbs must be worried when they see their top team being hammered like this . Remember at the RWC they might not have the help of the ref!

I think there is one player you overlook and that is EW Viljoen - he is a Jesse Kriel type of full back - he is 1,94 meters tall and weighs 96 kgs.   He is at this stage an outstanding Under 20 player and is in the shortlisted Under 20 training camp for the WC. Only 19 years old - but already an outstanding player.
I think the problem with Kolbe is that he is too small for the 15 man game and could potentially only fit in at scrumhalf or flyhalf.   At best he should be on the Stormers bench.
I would play the following backline for the Stormers:-
15    EW Viljoen14    Kobus van Wyk13    Huw  Jones12    Daman de Allende11    Johnny Kotze10    For heavens sake find a decent flyhalf  9    Nic Groom
Insofar as the forwards are concerned - they should forget about Kolisi and I would play Vermeulen at 8, Rhodes at 7 and Burger at 6 - with Carr or Kolisi on the bench.
The problem is that the above would not meet the BEE requirements and W akefield would have a fit.

Um Mike Kolisi made the S15 side of the week last week after an outstanding display. This week he took a blow to the head.
Stop speaking utter shit re Kolisi

A player like Kolisi - who under-perform for a year and then has one good match - is not the class player like you make him out to be.

Oh what fucking rubbish....If you knew enough about the game you would know that last year Kolisi was both injured and played out of position at 7 by clueless Coetzee.
You are sounding as clueless as Coetzee right now.
Kolisi is a class act.....love him as a player.
