What I surmise our weakness's are in SA rugby

They are not the players themselves...any guy who dons the green and gold is worthy of the greatest respect, ability and honour and the same can be said of every player from every nation that has participated in this wonderful WC.

I read Frik Du Preez's book...he said that we played differently in those days...the coach was only a guide (or a suggestion on how to play the game) we worked as a team under the captain...he was the general.

Now rugby is different...it's become controlled and overstructured leaving little inniatative to individual talent or flair...the same applies to corporate business today...it is the age of the group or majority...if you understand the drift.

Coaches can become control freaks...I would love to know how Eddie Jones coached the Brave Blossums...???

 the thing is with nz rugby from what i know from personal exp is that they create a overlaying pattern of how they want to play the game but they create a enviroment where the players are allowed to express and dictate the game within there respective roles. so there is a pattern but its not overcoached to such a extend that the players have zero freedom. the biggest thing is with nz rugby is that they prize player development above all else. there players skills are then refined to the extreme so much so that its second nature to do certain things and coaches like hansen merely directs them. there core basics are already ingrained.
we in south africa like to play a over structured style of play and i have seen even club coaches plan attacks to such a extend that the players dont think anymore.
this use to be never like this but as i have stated in other posts i do think 95 was the best thing for us in a sense but it changed our rugby playing ethos as well for the worse. you only see and hear forwards in the commentary talk about scrums lineouts and defence. much so that you dont even hear about attacking play and skills being promoted. its all a culture change that happend post 95 that is still with us till this day....this style of play has never been our bok way. going back in history to the morne du plessis's danie gerbers and gerrie germishuys's of the world we always played a expansive game mixed with brutal bone crushing forwards and fast skill full backs where attacking rugby was our primary weapon. looking through the annuals of history we always played a mixed style of direct rugby coupled with a world class half pack pairing and ultra skillfull backline players. we were the envy of the world and to a extend the all blacks of the 50's and 60's copied our pattern and made it there own
sa rugby has lost its way for over 20 years now i feel and as we saw with shock losses to the pumas ierland, wales and even the bloody japs we need to rethink the game and fast. 
the picking of overseas based players has changed the sa rugby landscape big time and saru needs to man up and stop this or we risk it all.
there is hope at the end of the tunnel and all is not lost but we need to get our minds right first
we are a sleeping giant in the game and mark my words the day we get our pattern fixed and play a dynamic style we will destroy all before us
we are that good we have that potential but we are our own worst enemy

Exactly a team, an army or a group must be led by a participator...Bonaparte was perhaps the greatest military strategist ever and he was in forefront and knew exactly how to fight a battle...sportsmen that lead their team will be more effective...cricket and rugby....Eddie Barlow/Hansie Cronje and Morne Du Plessis and Gary Teichmann.

 ...the Japanese team is full of mercenaries...while experimenting with combinations they came last in the Pacific Nations Cup  - misleading so many into thinking they were easybeats...which led Meyer into playing a Bok C team against them...the rest is history...was more of a miss read of the situation on Meyers more than anything Eddie Jones did..

  ..I see also that Reds are understood to be looking to sign Japanese Rugby World Cup star fullback Ayumu Goromaru.

Goromaru was the star in that victory over South Africa after scoring 24 points in the match. Japan won 34-32 in Brighton.

Reports have surfaced suggesting that the Reds are looking to sign Goromaru as a replacement for James O'Connor who was released from his contract earlier this month.

Goromaru would be an ideal replacement for O'Connor as he is an able goal-kicker and has show plenty of skill on attack.

The Japanese fullback has also been linked to French side Racing Metro 92 in Paris.

The Reds will have a new look backline for 2016 as they have lost stalwarts Quade Cooper and Will Genia to European teams.

we currently have coaches in sa rugby that dont really know how the game is meant to be played....apart from 2 coaches ackermann and stonehouse we as a country is in serious serious trouble.
the current crop of coaches dont understand what really winning rugby is and they just dont have the vision and skills to change it
thats why i am really happy to see the trend of trying to get international coaches into our province setup....its really needed to bridge that massive gap we have in our skillsets
