Visagie is not up to standard as a hooker. I think Strauss is their only quality hooker - when he is not playing mediocrity  is the keyword.

Matfield is damaging the forwards effort and showed nothing in forward play today.  He was constantly moonlighting in the backline and in the process fouled up badly today.  The Bulls needs a physically strong enough lock and I think they should move Du Plessis into that position.  The Bulls needs a lock - not an extra backline player.

Stegmann is poor and needs to be replaced.   Spies is a joke in bad taste.  The Bulls needs to play Labuschagne at 7 and Botha at 8 - which means they have to find another open-side lock.

The Bulls should aim to be the best franchise in the S15 comp and not find excuses for losing against the #1 team in the competition.

In broad I would say the Bulls should have structures in place to prevent their stars or even future stars, to leave them. CJ Stander comes to mind.

The worst thing any SA franchise can do is to play players based on past experience and reputation and leave the younger players in a situation where they have no hope in advancing their careers in SA.   Even though money and value of money is an issue this is why so many younger players leave SA.   Most would prefer to remain in SA for a few years and having reached a higher level of local recognition and selection they know that much better contracts with foreign clubs would be attained.
The Bulls is in fact the worst franchise in that regard - hanging on to the Matfields and Spiesies of the rugby playing world.

The Bulls are renowed for doing 3 aspects of rugby well
1. Rolling mauls from Lineouts
2. Penalties from scrums
3. The good old up and under

At present they are only doing Number 1 well
