When are the Bulls...

They don't have an outside centre and they do not have an inside centre who can power over the gainline or create space. You cannot attack without good centres, it's impossible. Serf is a big step down from Olivier, that much I can tell you. If the defence is flat across and ready for the shuffle ball, you must beat it longitudinally. But that means manipulation of the defence. I don't think Ludeke is a bad coach, in 2010 the Bulls shredded everyone. But they had Olivier outside Morné, and Kirchner with those powerful runs an try assists. They just don't have the weapons right now. Until they find a good 12 they will continue to have problems. It looks to me like Serf has hit the ceiling of his ability.

 Ludeke has been worked out. Renee for the Chiefs was also worked out hence their struggle last year - now he is evolving

 Their attack hasn't clicked since the departure of Kirchner and Olivier. It's more a case of dysfunctionality. There simply hasn't been anything to find out I'm afraid.

Agreed, but hopefully the fans see sense ad see through the Serfontein hype. It boggles the mind that he can be praised so highly and not be fingered out as a culprit in their problems. And they can spare me the play flatter garbled nonsense, it doesn't matter how flat your 1 plays, the 12 still has to create that movement. And for certain Pollard is not the issue, Serf can have no excuses whatsoever. And their woes get worse at 13. I cannot even recall the last good 13 the Bulls have had, even during their championship years. Well, good like to them, they'll need it!

Yeah, I agree about the rolling maul, at one point I thought the bulls could get back in the game with a few more of them. Legal used obstruction - SA teams are the masters. It is fair enough though because kiwi teams have the option to use them too.
