Which Players enhanced their Claims During CC series and which not

There are always players who stood out and others who look decidedly average during any series like the CC.   I think that those players are the following:-
Full Backs
Of the players who really looked much better and made a real impression as full backs, mention must be made of the following:-

Good to see Dries Swanepoel getting game time with the Bulls. He is a quality 13, far better than Small-Smith.
Its just such a pity the Sharks have not done the same with Tyler Fisher (who is now on loan to one of the minor unions) and the Stormers missed out on Pat Howard who has now signed with the Saints up here.
Pathetic misses by both provinces.....hardly surprising considering Gold taking over from Jake....it was Jake who identified Fisher.
Useless Coetzee never played Howard much at WP

Swanepoel was outstanding yesterday - he grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
I think that the WP backline was pathetic - they were completely outplayed by the Bulls.   Kotze tried his utmost, but the situation around him was pathetic.  I was very disappointed in Senatla's defense and Kolbe was no factor at all.   
The other player WP brought off the bench was Vermaak - he was desperately poor, but Meyer may have other ideas about him.   I think when a player cannot get a renewal of his contract with his NH club there is something seriously defective about him.  This was the case with both Vermaak and Claassens.
There is something else seriously defective in eg the Toulon team, they had Fat Stevens from the Sharks as a starting prop yesterday.  He was as expected a serious flop.   I know they have a lot of players away on French squad duty - but the question remains - how low can you go?
However, I am sorry you could not watch the CC games.  It was really an eye-opener and it makes me more optimistic about future test teams.  There is a lot of talent out there and the replacement of deadwood in the Springbok team is long overdue.   How a person can support players like Alberts, Matfield, Morne, Fransie and co is amazing to me - the youngsters are far better than they have been for years.       

We  have more bright young talent than we have ever had.
