Who ere the biggest letdowns in the RWC Springbok squad

It is difficult to get them together in order - but much easier to group them in the following orddr of hroups from poorest to poor:
Group 1
this include the injured players with due regard toi their eprformances in games tghey did play in:-
Jean de Villiers, Ruan Pienaar, Willem Alberts, Zane Kirchner
Group 2

Jannie du Plessis, Victor Matfield, Schalk Brits
Group 3

Bog-ordinary players 
Willie le Roux, JP Pietersen, Fourie du Preez, Tendai Mtawarira, Bryan Habana
Not a nice example set by the senior players in the squad - now is it?

 Mike, WA was a bit under cooked, but not too much off a let down for me. Jean should never have started the first game...Jannie should have played from the bench, Vicky too. Brits wasn't too bad in the few minutes he played. Du Preez was way better than Pienaar and executed his instructions well. Willie has been off for a while now and Beast, although OK, should also have played from the bench.
I actually expected more from Eben, De Allende and Bissie too....JP did way better than I thought he would.
Matfield was injured for most of it, so can't really judge him too much.

No player excelled at this WC.
In general most appeared to be rather off their game.
Is it due to following Meter's game plan or out of form players?
Injury should have played no part in the performances.....as those injured players should never have been selected for the WC in the first place.
Pity we wasted a golden opportunity to win a third WC with the talent pool left watching the WC on TV back in RSA.

 no player did feature but not to there own fault..
when you play this mindless mash and bash pray for mistakes and pick 3 points style of play you cannot really expect fireworks from players that has skillsets that can do so much more
meyer was extremely lucky with the draw and a qf against a welsh side that battled with a record amount of injuries.
players like brussouw kriel and faf de klerk ext would have added some much more to this team.
now the next coach will have to build from scratch a team that will be there in a few years time
the core of the group is there. hopefully they will persist with pollard and kriel and le roux the pack is strong as always but lacks a proper open sider./
