Most lineout steals go to NZ who doubled our count. This was an area we were never very aggressive in targeting, even on opposition throw near their line. 1. New Zealand - 15

2. Ireland - 10

3. Australia - 8

4= England - 7

4= South Africa - 7

6. Argentina - 6

7= Fiji - 5

7= Wales - 5

De Jager 3, Matfield 2. They are the Boks in the top 20.
Retallick and Read are top of the pile with 6 each.

Now Read is a great lineout exponent! I recall Lood towering over the wee abs lineout. Itd a new combo but far more potential than the wer abs!

I recall the wee All Blacks stealing 4 of our lineouts in the semi, 3 while Lood was on.

 Jeezum crow your a tool beandipsh!t  as I reacall 4 years ago you were droning on about how the ABs were in desline and the Boks were gunna do this and gunna do that and win everything in sight .One lonely wee Barnes assisted TMO win later and your still dribbling .I was surprised at what a potent tool the ABs lineout has become ,stealin' line-out ball from under a great exponent like Matfield is no mean feat .Against the Boks I was always happy if we had rough parity and was happy as a happy thing when wee Victor retired .

Read took 6 line throws of opposition ball because he was jumping against voids.  None of the teams - least of all SA - catered for a third line-out option like NZ did.
