Lets start with the forwards first.
* The Bulls props did surprisingly well and there was no problem in recovering of the ball.
* The Bulls locks did quite well in the first half and became an embarrassment in the second half.
* Spies buggered the game up by giving away kickable penalties. Between Matfield, Stegmann and Spies 4 penalties - with the Spies (2) and Matfoield (1) penalties being converted.
* Although the backline did well in attacking play and the two tries scored by Serfontein indicated that Mozart's constant carping about him is crap to be dealt with in disdain by people, the backline defense was seriously problematic as is evident by the following info on missed tackles:-
Paige = 3
Pollard = 5
Serfontein = 2
Hougaard = 3
The defense was just not good enough by the backline players, but the major problems were with the forwards - especially the locks and Spies - running out of steam in the second half, resulting in a serious lack of ball possession in that half.
