Why we lost

There were numerous problems. First and foremost Damian was an entry point throughout the game, being beaten by Kuridrani all game. His defensive lapses accounted for two tries, including the match winner.
In the second half, the Wallabies changed tact and kept it tight. They boxed clever and again we lost the territorial battle. They were more physical punching up. It was certainly a sad sight. 

Willie is still operating as the playmaker. Still compensating for our poor centre play. It's shocking. 

 Its actually a good thing that we have lost.  We were complacent enough to try and defenll to them andd a 13 point lead at half time,  by playing the kicking game.  Flopped big-time. Our best try came from attacking from within our own goal area.  We looked good ball in hand,  but chose to give the ball to them and rather defend the lead.  Huge fail. 

Desert twak, you are too fucking stupid to work out the real issues......only a complete idiot would think Meyer has it right......the midfield was a strength you profoundly stupid twat.

 Fox,  our midfield wasn't the problem today. Our halfbacks kicked too much and poorly at that.

 Meyer lost the match with unforced subs.  Strauss and Heikie being the worst of ghe lot. Strauss isn't half the player he was 2 years ago.  
As aside,  although I  rate Moore as a very good 2,  I think it's high time someone gives him a good bitchslap!!! 

Strauss is fine......the issue was Heinke v/d Merwe at loosehead, the little 110kg prop is out of his depth at test level.......why Meyer thought he was test standard is beyond me

If your midfield can't hold out an attack it is not fit for a World Cup. It also failed to provide the attacking impetus. For that we relied on Willie and Habana. Perhaps 15 and 11 is the new 12 and 13 in SA. Willie is routinely an extension of 10 or plays off 9, bypassing 10 acting as the playmaker. We had a setup during the game where JP was at first receiver and we played off him. Our centres were hopeless.

Our midfield failed to hold out everytime Damian attempted a tackle. Such as the game winning try. The game I was watching was behind my eyelids. You should watch it sometime. 

One could forgive Meyer if he had one or two selections wrong ... sadly most of his selections are way off and his complete ignorance is shown by it ...

Both the Ozzies and the All Blacks are still trying combination out while our coach trembles in his boots and brings on the same old tired elderly team.

Lood is useless ... yet a vast improvement on Matfield.

Meyer's a joke. I sincerely hope they sack his ass after this world cup. We deserve better.

 Good thing about playing last night is the ABS get to SA before the Boks and get an extra day to recover .And Ellis Park while daunting is no Garden Of Eden now is it ?

 We lost because of a variety of reasons.  The first one  was the game plan - build a lead and sit on it - playing negative rugby.  I could not believe the number of aimless kicks in the second half instead of going with the first half game.   The kicks were all aimless and only served as handing over possession to the Aussies.   Although Pollard was also guilty of it - the worst culprit by as mile was Pienaar.   If you see a plan does not work - you must change it.  Kicking balls at Folau did not work - so why continue with it?
The second problem was defense - and here I include all of Pollard, De Allende and Kriel.  Between them they made 26 tackles - but they also missed 13.   On the positive side the tackles made were strong ones - but a missed tackle ratio of 33,3% is way too high.  They need to attend to this problem as a matter on urgency.  In all respect the three players on attack was very good - but defense was not their strong suit.
Once Coetzee was injured - we played with exactly 1 loosie insofar as play on the deck is concerned.   The loosie combination is just not right and a player like Mohoje does not do his part.
I had no problem with the scrumming - but rather with Strauss - he was not binding properly and that made scrumming a virtual impossibility.
